Self Service Item Restoration

We’ve recently deployed a new system that allows World of Warcraft players to recover items that they mistakenly sold, destroyed, or disenchanted: Battle.net Item Restoration. With this new self-service option, the recovery of such items is fast and easy.

This restoration option may only be used once every 30 days on active World of Warcraft accounts that are in good standing. With items that were accidentally disenchanted, the new system can be used to request a review by Customer Support for restoration. As this option has a limited availability and use, we still encourage caution when selling, deleting, or disenchanting items.

You can read all about this new service in our detailed support article: Battle.net Item Restoration.

@Wulves: if you have an iPhone or Android phone the authenticator is free. otherwise it is like what $5? maybe cheaper and it really helps with security as well as changing your password every so often, follow the "Th!si5v3rys3cur3!" password template.

@Wulves: Blizzard customer support can only restore your account. You will need to log into WoW and open a GM ticket.

@Wulves: Best way to keep your account secure is to have a authenticator to use every time you have to login. So...no matter if you change your password or not...they CANNOT log into your account without your authenticator.

@Geralynn:
Just log back into your account after it's downloaded and go on Hydroxis and play the character...

Or, you're trying to get an 85 Hunter for free.

My brother was playin as me and accidently delleted my 40 hunter instead of his 10ish charecter when we both started playing a couple years ago. Hopefully this will bring him back, even though i have a 65 hunter.

I agree Gwenivine, I deleted a 64 lvl Druid with 1,000g my first year. -sigh- Did not understand that my character could actually bring dps up. Someone in a raid said I was sadly lacking and should just start over. :(

@Bakajin: Unfortunately, while that's true, I've been told that logs for accounts only go back a couple of months... :(

Being that you state that the char couldn't bring DPS, I'm assuming you meant during Vanilla / BC... (Ferals and Moonkins were laughable DPS at the time.)

I think this is a pretty cool feature. I also feel that the frequency is more than fair. I think of all my years of playing wow I may have deleted 1 item by mistake. In my humble opinion if you're DE, selling, or just simply deleting items more than once a month, you should probably consider reviewing before making executive decisions. Anyway, thank you Blizzard.
