Dragon Soul Difficulty Change - 25%

At the completion of scheduled server maintenance during the week of June 5, the “Power of the Aspects” spell will grow more powerful, reducing the health and damage dealt of all enemies in the Dragon Soul raid by 25%. This spell has grown progressively stronger over time to reduce difficulty and make the encounters more accessible. The spell will affect both normal and Heroic difficulties, but it will not affect the Raid Finder difficulty.
If you don’t need the help of the Dragon Aspects, the spell can be disabled by talking to Lord Afrasastrasz at the beginning of Dragon Soul.
We hope you continue to enjoy Dragon Soul, and that these changes encourage you to attempt a higher difficulty, or just keep pushing to take down that next boss.

This is an improvement on the game overall. Blizzard has made a lot of improvements to this game, they still need to make some more, but overall the game has gotten better. I still wish paladins had more actual utility, like in the olden days. But this current version of the Paladin, is excellent.

Nobody PUGs it on my server and the successful groups are very selfish and exclusive. I've been stuck at 394 for weeks with no way to improve except normal and heroic; either could easily be done via openraid.us.

Blizzard will do whatever it takes to keep people subscribed. Everyone who cleared Heroic Dragon Soul did it within the first month or two of its' release, so the true elitists don't really care because they already got their world/country/region/server/small town first.
If people keep brickwalling, they will quit. Anyone with any foresight can see that. So it really doesn't hurt the players that already cleared it to keep nerfing it, unless you really think that e-fame in what is classified as a 'nerd-game' by ignorant non-gamers is worth anything. What are you going to do, put that you got pre-nerf H DS down on your RL work resume?
Do not get me wrong. I ABHOR players that can't play their spec, take the time to perfect their skills, and just overall be a poor performance raider.
Unfortunately, since raids are a team effort, one or two low performance players will make progression impossible. Throw in some other factors like people not being able to show up consistently, and there is enough reasons to show that people would like to progressive step downs in difficulty on bosses. In actuality, I would support Blizzard following the 5% a month method for every future raid tier!
This game is meant to be fun. For everyone. Not just the extremely small minority of players that think they're entitled to clear everything in the first couple months and then not let anyone else do it. Get off your high horse.

I like what you has to say until you decided that you hated people who can't play their toons. While it is very annoying, you need to take into consideration that not EVERYONE has a lot of time on their hands to learn and 'perfect' their classes/specs.
Even at that, what if you (for example only) worked all day and only had a few hours to play and I didn't know this and maybe you're a horrible player. How do I know what your learning curve is like? What gives me the right to judge you and not give you a chance to make mistakes to learn from?

There are guilds out there that raid 2 days a week (about 8 hours) and were 8/8 heroic post 5% nerf. You don't need to be "hard-core" to down difficult content, you just need understand how to play the game properly.

What it boils down to is the fact that Blizz has a lot of people to keep happy. They can't do it. There are too many people who are complaining about EVERYTHING that I'm surprised everyone at Blizzard Ent. isn't bald or graying.

And really? You guys will still be playing the game. Quitting because "scrubs" can now access content similar to you is a pretty dumb reason to quit, but then, the community would probably be better off without you.

You have had you fun. And you can keep having it. Just Turn the Nerf Off.
Or... if the players who want the nerf on are really as bad as people say and they make up the majority of the raid... Leave the nerf on and it should still be challenging.
