World Boss Preview Now Available!

Check out the Mists of Pandaria preview website and get a first glimpse at one of the two new roaming world bosses: Salyis’s Warband! These extremely powerful monsters will do everything in their power to make your life more... “interesting” as you explore the mysterious continent of Pandaria.

World bosses spawn in the open world and can be attacked by any player (un)fortunate enough to cross their paths. Salyis's Warband will be quite rare, while the expansion's other boss will appear with fairly regular frequency. But before you charge headfirst into battle, keep in mind that it will take the combined efforts of a full raid to bring one of these guys to their knees.

Taking down a world boss is no small feat, but the rewards make it all worthwhile: achievements, fabulous items, and massive bragging rights will all be yours if you and your comrades in arms succeed in felling one of these roving terrors. Check back soon for more info on the game's other world boss, the Sha of Anger!

@Ryoka: I doubt these world bosses will be on the same level of difficulty as the actual intsanced raid bosses, i wish WoW would add a world boss like AV (back when) or something along those lines

40 man raids??? Unless it's "Raid Finder" there is no point. Hard enough getting a 25 man raid together, a 40 man would be too annoying to set up. Unless he drops something worth while that people want. Like a uber Weapon or Mount.

@Antianalfist: Pugs are so nonexistent until the end of an expac, or at least the end of a patch, that 40 man raids will be extremely difficult to put together, i never see anything being put together for 25 mans anymore on my server, let alone a 40 man. with the raid lockouts being the same, the effort needed ot forming/maintaining a 40 man raid isnt worth it considering oy uget the same gear for a 10 man

@Inmàte According to a comment on Wowhead he will drop a mount called Son of Galleon's Saddle. But of course it still is beta.

I got about 30 man raid to try this in beta. Mesh of level 86-90 level players. Yeah, we lost pitifully entire raid wiped without his hp to even move, it was embarassing. I'm thinking 40 geared level 90 players to bring him down.

Oh, the "sha of hate" the other world boss, I havn't tried yet.

@Xaxo: This was 3rd attempt at making a gruop, 1st attempt a couple months ago 15 people, then again with 25 people then this one. I think in 2-3 weeks I'm going to try to put together a full 40 man level 90 only group. Should be interesting.

By full raid do they mean 25players or old school 40? Haven't tried fighting one in the beta so I have no idea , hoping it's 40 though.
