i have played this game since Sept '05 and i am, unfortunately, giving my farewell to this wonderful game. i have had some great/good/bad experiences throughout my time playing this game and by no means will give it a bad rap. the "challenge" is just no longer there for me.
Classic (i refuse to call it vanilla) was an awesome experience for me and was a wonderful challenge going into the end game. BC only improved (massively imho) on what Classic had in place. LK is where i started to lose interest in the game as i felt like the challenge was gone once you got to the end game and felt like it was too easy to get good gear. Cataclysm restored some my interest in the beginning, because of how challenging everything was, but eventually lost it in the end as Blizzard started to make the game "easier" again and therefore removed the challenge from the game for me.
after seeing what is coming in MoP, my interest was not restored in the slightest bit. the game feels like it's casual now more than what it was in the Classic and BC eras. don't get me wrong. i've known of the padaren, Cheg, throughout the game and have been wanting to play a pandaren for a while. now the time is here and i feel like the game isn't challenging anymore.
awesome game Blizzard, but the challenge, and interest, are no longer there for me. Still have the best cinematics, imho.
