All Races Available in Patch 5.0.4

With the release of patch 5.0.4, we’re making all the races of Azeroth playable by anyone, no matter which version or expansion of World of Warcraft they own. This includes the enigmatic pandaren, who will become available for play when Mists of Pandaria is released on Tuesday, September 25. We want the entire World of Warcraft community to be able to embrace their inner goblin, blood elf, worgen, draenei, or pandaren from the moment they step foot into the world of Azeroth.

Now, the only hard part will be choosing a name. Who will you be next?

Ya know, if ya wanna play, you should have to pay. People should have to buy the appropriate game in order to play the newest stuff, including the new races. Otherwise, what's the point ... Kinda screws over those who actually bought the expansion(s). IMHO.

It's not like they can access new classes, quests, dungeons or any other content, imagine being poor (i am so i can see this) You get WoW for the first time ever but have to wait till your birthday or christmas each year to get an expansion. (seeing as two are with original now not so hard) You really want to play the panda or worgen/goblin races. "Sorry you have to wait, and restart your character in a year, or fork out money to do a race change" doesn't seem to nice.

@Lucreetia: selfish much? it doesn't affect you one bit that other people can make a panda if they don't pay, just the "thought" of someone having something you had to pay for bothers you? That is sad dude-we all got taught to share in kindergarten maybe you were absent that day.

Horrible to give all players, including the freeloaders, access to all races. Its like Blizzard WANTS to have their expansion sales cut in half! lol

I miss the days when WOW was Blizz's #1 priority and it showed :*

@Xaosdark: So you're telling me, that it's bad for them to let races be playable, despite expansions? They'll still have to get expansions to play the extra maps, content, quests dungeons and access the levels. This will give starters more reason to stay, Who wants to pay for everything at once? This way John Smith can start as a panda, and work his way to the MoP expansion without have to start a new panda then. Think about it.

There are people in THIS WORLD that don't have a lot. They don't have money to pay for extra stuff. To DENY a child or anyone something because you are "mad" that you had to pay and they don't have to pay IS WRONG. Get over yourself dude.

Are the zones for those races be with them too? I mean, do you need to have MoP in order to run the the start zone of the pandas? I'd assume yes, cause its part of the race.

I agree. I bought a brand spanking new Gateway just for the Cata EXpansion and all I do is WoW on it. I had to dump files just to optimize my comp to play 5.0.4. Whats going to happen when MoP is atually live? Another new comp...I think not; now will I upgrade my childrens accounts either.

i think they need to stop at lvl 90 buecuase if they dont there going to keep loseing people if they want to put new races and stuff in its ok but i dont think they need to get another expansion pack to do it.Persoanly i say stop here and then make low lvl doungens like walling and other ones in to new high lvl 85 ones with diffrent drops hell even make a few of them raids.The reason there loseing so many people is becuase you need a new computer after every two expansion packs

@Lueu: Not true at all They are losing players because this game has become hand fed to you not only are they not making things hard but when they are hard they nerf them so badly no one wants to continue to try Key example Dragonsoul with its 40% nerf that raid is so ez on 25 or 10 man heroic and normal its stupid

@Ticklmytotem: I love how you say they've made everything so easy yet you don't even have the 10 DS reg achieve, nor does your guild have that achieve or any DS heroic achieves..... so before you go saying everything is SOOOOO easy how about you level a bit more and stop saying what people who are able to down everything are saying

@Noherofru: Dude. Everything in this game is cake. It's too childish, now. As Ticklmytotem said, if Blizzard brought the game back to Vanilla, or even BC difficulties, they'd have more subs. Period. Things have been easy since Wrath of the Lich King and it's just going down hill. Go ahead and look at my achieve's too and say "zomg bro you don't have normal DS either, noobz", I really don't care. There's a reason I don't. I'm not putting forth my time and effort into something that doesn't feel rewarding. Thank you.

what there saying is that your buying the expansion. this is just a thought if they were to make all the characters avalible. what they might be doing is making it so that when they develop new races and things they can imput them in through a patch. but what your paying for is the expansion and new items, what your paying for is the servers that everyone plays on that reduce server lag. also tough if you dont like it quit if not then just deal with it.

I think people are going to be angry when stuff starts to get taken away because everything in cata was handed to them. Just wait everyone. The game will get more difficult, But it will be more fun aswell......... hopefully

@Peptobizmal: The level cap will still be 20 if they are on starters..

@Newing: Yes you're so ripped off because you bought an expansion that adds new content, quests, abilities AND new dungeons.. The all races is good because now new players dont have to buy ALL expansions at once to play a panda, they can get the expansions as they level up to get MoP Endgame.

with this new talent tree I cannot equip all my weapons at the same time, for ranged attack or close in hand to hand before they would switch automaticly what's up with that

@Buggabrown: if you are switching to melee weapons at close range, you are doing it wrong. With minimum range removed, you'll do more damge with bow/gun/crossbow.
