Why is it such a big deal that megabloks is making them? I have a bunch of lego minifigs from legoland and they are all really cool and all but megabloks makes them moveable and more detailed than lego could have done. Plus Megabloks went to Blizzard and presented the idea so i think they deserve it for being outgoing.

@Sylith: Megabloks is able to add a level of detail that lego can't (or won't) do. Kids these days want 'cool' not the 'cute' style that lego uses. Also, the adults who buy these want detail as well.

Here's why it was better to go with Megabloks. Price: Lego charges outstanding and crazy prices for sets, the assault on on sw with deathwing would have easily been $120 it lego made it. I just saw their lord of the rings sets, for small sets they are $20, for megabloks, $12. and these are highly detailed and cool. Way to be smart Blizz and thanks for thinking of my wallet too!

@Daggorfall: Also important, all Lego figures look exactly the same. Meaning, no detail at all. MegaBloks figures have a lot of detail. Im glad they went MegaBloks and not Lego.

People will argue and even fight over anything nowadays.Is the world SO bad you have to resort to berating others based on their opinions? Believe it or not, online games are one of the many microcosms which expose true human behaviors. Think about it - if you were standing in line at a game store to buy this and disagreed with the purchase of the person next to you, would you call him or her a fail (or worse) for buying something other than the item you purchased? I highly doubt it. You aren't as safe as you are online, but you probably wish you could.

Most of you will make jokes, but this lack of civility is a real cause for concern.

So I just bought all the character packs, mounts, arthas and the barrens chase, and I must say. BEST. THINGS. I. EVER. PURCHASED. Why? I'm a huge Lego enthusiast, (there's no "S" in Lego, dammit!) and I play WoW religiously, so these made me fangasm. Props to you, Blizz and Mega. By the way, to the raging Lego fanbois, who the frakk cares? Same thing just better character models.

@Eweffoh: So?! Why should I have a part in that hostility? Seriously, who cares? I just admit Mega put out a product that satisfied my enthusiasm for both WoW and construction toys. Why is it wrong? This really shouldn't be an issue. Why can't I love Lego while still admitting Mega did something better for a change? You my friend, seem to be blinded by brand loyalty.

@Demmy: How detailed do you think the character swould be in Lego form? I love Lego, don't get me wrong but if you really want a Tauren or a Worgen, you just cannot replicate that using the Lego mold. Megablocks are custom whereas Lego pretty much recycles everything.

@Demmy: I don't know why, but I find a bunch of adults whining over toys to be absolutely hilarious. Don't get me wrong, adults collecting toys is not a bad thing, but crying and screaming about it kind of contradicts blizz's playerbase's insistence on being "mature and cool."
