Guild Mentoring Program: Launch Initiated

We recently introduced the Guild Mentoring Program and asked for a few great guilds to volunteer their time and services. The call was heard and answered with many potential candidates sending in their applications to do their part.
After further scrutiny, gazing at crystal balls, and a visit to the Darkmoon Faire (we love the food), we have called forth the following guilds:

People that are mature enough to notice the differences, know that both have pros and cons. For example: In my early days of the game, back when kara was the "new thing," I had a GM that would help me through whatever it was I needed. It was great knowing he was there to say "yeah we'll get the hang of it sooner or later," but there was also a downfall.
It wasn't until later that I realized that getting slammed by some people (not all mind you) is an extremely helpful thing. Most people would overreact and get mad and ragequit and that's a good thing because the next time they log on, they have a pain in their mind that says "you're not good enough." Now from getting that treatment myself, I can say it sucks. Extremely sucks actually. However, it made me rethink my class, read my talents/abilities ever more closely, and eventually made me surpass what those people ever said. Believe it or not, I was later asked to tank for a guild that was in BT and almost to Illidari Council on week 3 of it's release (back then, you couldn't clear a raid in a day and say you were good). Granted it was their alt run, but nevertheless, I was recognized because of the fact that people being rude made me try harder. Doubt me all you want, but science has proven that if you shelter someone too much, the little thing will hurt the worst. Example: Purell and the waterless antibacterial ... too much of it will cause your immune system to eventually overreact to ANY foreign substance albeit small or largely infectious. (Odd example, but judge all you want).
More or less, don't shelter the kids too much ... a certain amount of viciousness is required to push them beyond the limits they see for themselves =) We'll see how this goes, but don't expect a favorable reply from people that do the math behind the game. Not all are as understanding as the ones that found those limits for themselves, and broke them! haha, GL to those that got chosen, may you not shelter the newer generations too much.

To Blizzard I thank you again for your consideration, but sometimes it would be nice to not keep somethings so close to the vest.

Lightbringer
Doomhammer
Player A: How do I get <insert item here>?
Typical response from trade chat troll: L2P! What are you? Stupid? <insert blue streak of swear words and derogatory commentary>
Just like parents with children, you can't protect them from everything, but if you can soften the blow a bit from the uncaring, self-enamored dillweeds in game by providing a kinder, gentler guidance, they will be end up being a more well-rounded player all the way around, and may even continue playing the game instead of getting so discouraged by all the rudeness that abounds with wild abandon these days.
Garrosh
Doomhammer
Arathor
Illidan
Sargeras
Everyone was willing to help and show me, or tell me, the way to something. I started playing six years ago though.
That shows you what the community has become, when they have to get guilds to guide players through, what i now, Hells Kitchen.
