The problem I find is the ease of LFR compared to normal. It offers no challenge to people who can't get a 10-man group. Maybe blizz should open a thing where you join and see who else on your server is interested in PUG's (sort of like the friend list with a few tweaks) rather then posting on trade and hoping people are in main cities.

My server has a grand total of one horde guild that has downed one boss in MSV. My guild is me, my brother and one of his friends. I love LFR.

I love LFR for al the reasons given b4, plus its a good practise for 10 man raid with guild, which btw our guild does LFR on a regular basis. Also to reply to the comment that PPL should stop whining about the lagging and framerate issues, I too suffer these maladies but I just turn off sound, reduce graffix in system and watch dbm, sure, ok ots not the ramped up version you h8er's all wish it was , but its still enjoyable!

Why run LFR at all? Just gonna do my dailies and get my valor gear. A couple months from now I'm gonna walk into a 10-man and pretend I know exactly what's going on cuz my ilvl says so. Thanks dailies!
Login to rate
@Astronomica: For me the new loot system in LFR made getting gear upgrades a ton easier and faster without having to wait weeks and weeks to grind out valor through hundreds of dailies and random dungeons. I still do dailies but I can prioritize what I'm spending my points on now.

@Astronomica: Some of us do LFR because it's the only raid available. Being on a smaller server, a lot of raiding guilds seem to be getting smaller and smaller because members are quitting WoW. So what few PUG raids and established raids looking for more people that were around are now non-existent, meaning these 476 pieces of gear are likely going to be the highest level pieces of gear we ever see.

@Astronomica: They're not really forcing you to run it. It's for the people that can't attend normal raids, bringing your ilvl up, uhhh, trying to see what half the content is like before they run it on Normal.

LOL @ dailies, but yeah it is a good way sort of but you wont get a full set or any thing.

I have been doing LFR for weeks now with two characters and I haven't got a single piece of gear

@Astronomica: all the valor gear put together is about over 18k vp so 1k vp a week is 19 weeks of farming/rep grinding and waiting.

one alternative I believe would be useful is a decreased graphics option for players who do not have superior computers. That way we could have the same amount of people but just simpler animations of the world around us for those that want increased gameplay instead of better looking spells flying around.

One thing i have to say is that not all players have the internet or computers that can handle a 25m raid as it is right now i can barley do 25m's without lagging through AoE fights. Blizzard has the ability to scale the raid as they want it so y not do a 15m LFR raid? still get experience on the raids content but it goes easier on the players with weaker computers. that's all i would like

@Tacowar: The reason that they don't do a 15 man LFR is that on that difficulty, it would be no different to the 10-man normal, plus you only have 10 or 25 man raids, so it's good prctise. If they added a 15 man LFR, they woulod have to make all raids accessible for a 15 man grp, and with there being basically no difference from a 10 man, what's the point.....

@nostalgia whiners

"Grandpa: In my day, we had to walk...
Drew (in a bored tone): How many miles, Pop?
Grandpa: 15 miles to school in the snow, with no shoes.

Back in my day, me and my brother Sparky, went trick-or-treating, but it was 15 miles to the nearest house, and we had real tricks, and real ghosts!

In my day, our dog would stay outside, wind or shine, rain or snow! It would be 15 below and it wouldn't matter!

My 15 sisters all shared the same doll; and they shared the same room, too!" -Grandpa from Rugrats

Anyway the real issue here is why are all the raids being released so quickly? A lot of guilds haven't even cleared it on normal. And now there's more raids to do every week? It'd be nice for the slower less hardcore progression raiders get geared/comfortable enough with the raid to clear it quickly, maybe even down a few heroic modes before releasing a new raid. That's the way I see it anyway.

Vanilla and BC I raided 5 nights a week for 4-5 hours per night. Now, however, I haven't the time or the willpower to sit down and commit that kind of time in one sitting. LFR is pretty neat to see the content. I dont agree on the amount of loot you can acquire from it, but I guess I cant complain.

People moan about LFR because they're too busy with their "cyber-life" to realize that many people have busy lives and frantic schedules in the real world.

Being unable to stick to a raid schedule due to work (I travel a ton for work and am also a full time student), I love LFR.

Haters keep on hating.
