Ok, thinking about getting this guide. Standard edition will work just fine for what I want, the question is will it help me with what I am after: where to find certain battle-pets and the best way to get them, recipes and such so I can streamline my crafting skills, where to buy certain mounts/pets/etc. I could care less really about walkthroughs beyond perhaps finding the starting point for an instance or quest, once I know where I am going its usually pretty easy to get things done. The chopsticks are a nice touch, but I doubt they would be anything more than a display piece for me, as I am a bit picky about the sticks I use..lol.

Well I'm not going to butter this one up. This guide is pretty basic. The only reason I got the standard edition one is because it includes an class ability description for each of the classes and it sorta helps me out with deciding on my alts, plus I just like having one more book to go with my CE lol. That being said, this book is too simple and lacks any sort of helpful info for anyone who has been playing WoW for any sort of time. The only exception being the part about the wanderer's festival and the Wrathion/legendary quests, but that can easily be looked up online.

Plus if you can't finish the first several quests for the starting zones by yourself I wouldn't recommend this game for you. In all fairness.

I'm a sucker for collecting things like this.
I had to get the Limit Edition one.

The guy at GameStop thought it was hilarious that it came with chopsticks. You know what they say, "Only Blizzard!"

If you're an experiance player save your money. this guide book is the worst one ever. the tricky things in pandaria like leveling in cooking and fishing are not discribed in any detail including where to find the trainers.No walkthrough except for beginers. a total waste of money.

Go to quest hub. Accept all quests. Go kill x# of y, while collecting a# of b. Return to NPCs and turn in quests. Begin next wave of quests until you proceed to next quest hub. Rinse and repeat.

25$ please. Now almost as good as Wowpedia and Wowhead.

as mentoned before with the mass ammount of resources provided by the interenet, aps, and other means of information, buying a book would be irrelevent. on the other hand, you have alot of book collectors such as myself that may purchase such a product only for my collection.

i do like the fact that strategy guides are out there, including the fact that the book itself mentions that "this is not complete guide and the internet is also a great source of information.

I remember in the 90's when these guides were usually a must buy to go with games, especially the RPG's like the ones from Squaresoft where the guide was over 200+ pages.

With the internet being as common as a cup of coffee in modern countries, I don't see a point for these other than being a collector's item. Waste of paper if you ask me.

Who in their right mind would pay for the product this post is advertising? With multiple and massive crowd-sourced repositories of information and a player base willing to point new players in the right direction, why would I even consider wasting my money on a "guide" for an MMO that is constantly evolving? I'm disappointed Blizz would even advertise this sort of thing, yet not wiki's that are built directly by their community.

feel the same 39 usd for game time and there servers are always down and after 7 years playing and all the time its been down bizz should write me a check for 180 usds 180 dollars a year to play this game 1,260 dollars year up to date so yes i want a check for a year its far lol lol lol never not even when i got the new panda game did i even get game time years ago you got 30 days free with upgrade not no more

I get tired of getting kicked out of the game for what I can see for no reason they had some up dates and checks going on saturday but this is sunday so whats up ? right now they wont let me back in ?????????????
