Unique Challenge Mode Gear Effects

Unique Challenge Mode Gear Effects

Challenge Modes are a new feature in Mists of Pandaria that allows coordinated 5-player groups to jump into Heroic dungeons and attempt to set time-trial records. These blindingly fast times are displayed for all to see, but if being famous on the interwebz wasn’t enough, the groups who can achieve gold medals are also awarded with unique gear looks for use in Transmogrification—with a twist. These gear sets behave like nothing you’ve seen in the game before, activating and reacting to their wearer’s combat actions.

Check out the unique armor effects below—we think you’ll want to grab some friends and give Challenge Modes a shot.

Was kind of let down by the monk effects. Had very high hopes after seeing my guildies get their sets and the awesome effects. We gathered in Two Moons to check mine out tonight and were all just like.. "Really?" Like other Monks have said here, if I knew the effects were this broken I would have gone on my pally instead.

Blizz, please fix this! We worked hard, too!

Here i go FIRST positive comment at least on the 100 latest comments,
i love all the sets they are pretty unique and rewarding after you get them, not all the effects are shown here cuz they dont show normal attack animations so there are extra features, i got my hunter set thinking hmm im not sure if i like it and hummm it looks like cataclysm pvp sets but when i got it and saw it on action i just loved it as much as i could, im really tired of ppl saying "this sucks, lame, lack of creativity, bla bla bla blaaah" thts your opinion but i think its a pretty blind one if u stop complaining about blizz all the time and really look things with other eyes u will love the game and the stuff like the first day u got into it.

Warrior armor is just flat hideous. Can I have the effect without having to wear that garbage please? I'll gladly to the achievement, just wouldn't be seen ever wearing that ....

So I just got all the gold challenge modes done and I must ask is the monk set animation bugged? The green glow is not noticeable and I never see beer/brew come out of the shoulders. I have tried everything, the other class sets just take a /roar. :(

Just finished challenge mode gold today. Everyone else in my group got really cool look gear and we were all excited (paladin and warlock among the other sin my group). Then I put on my gear and realized for all my hard work all I got was an ugly armor set with a leaking barrel on my shoulder. I actually can't express myself in the way I would like to because it's against the ToS, but I can definitely say I would have quite a few choice words under other circumstances. This was a huge disappointment and I'd suggest to any monk that they just stop now and pick a different class to get the gear on.

The mounts look terrible too, so you really aren't missing anything at all.

Well, there is at least one or two sets that doesn't look like they are not even trying anymore, but the rest are quite lame...
Though you have to understand this is the fourth expansion, and there are a lot of models already, it must be hard to come up with good fresh designs.
I mean is easy to say "this set sucks" or "this set looks ridiculous", or "with so many millions dolars income, how can they release such !@#$ty and lame %^- designs? Do they even care anymore? Are they so busy attending to orgies and swiming in money that they don't give a F*** anymore?"
Yes it is easy to say any of those things indeed. But there is a lot of hard work behind these designs, of that i can assure you. So if you don't like them just don't get them! They are trasmog sets after all...

@Oldirti: I love how people throw a hissy fit about gear and then demand an artist who is using their creativity to create something should be fired. Over a !@#$ing game. Grow the %^-* up.

okay, I'm just going to throw this out. x-mog-gear that "re-acts" to what you do seems like a cool idea. Emphasis on "seems". But this expansion just seemed rushed. Honestly I keep reading about more and more glitch and glamor put into the game to make things look flashy "ooh! shiny!" But after playing through all the quests, I found that there are less quests to do in Pandaria than Cata and Wrath had. That means Less content. More flash to cover less content. Honestly a lot o people I played with have blasted through the new content and have had to spend the past three weeks grinding the same heroics over and over again just to find something to do until LFR was available. YOU CAN'T do Normal well without the gear from LFR. ???? this just seems like it'd be better if I actually had something to do right now Blizzard. And no, gear isn't dropping, so I can't progress.

Not really as smart an idea as it looks Blizzard.

hunter seemed kinda lackluster to me... only showed like one effect and it was for healing your pet. i'll admit you should do that alot in questing, but for things that arent beast mastery it isnt used as much :\

For once, just once, I would like to see shoulders that wouldn't require some kind of rig to put on. And upper body strength equivalent to that of the Hulk to carry around. The shaman shoulders are just >.< *facepalm*. Overall, I do enjoy the look of the sets that Blizz comes out with, but I would love to see some REALITY to it. (Don't start on the, "well you're playing a talking cow..and there's a talking panda...whats this about reality?" shpeil) I get its a fantasy world. But at the same time, I would like to see the options for NOT displaying my shoulders if I dont want to, having a cloak that covers my shoulders and has a deep hood maybe? You can look battle ready and epic without carrying 2 tonne life support boxes on your shoulders. I guess I just find that sometimes it gets taken a little far.
