Race Change Question still unanswered.

I know you guys finally gave us the great news of the new race changes being available immediately, but I thought I read somewhere that the new race/class combinations would be available at 4.0.3. Will we be able to do paid race changes for those immediately as well?

Probably not. Essentially it would allow someone without Cataclysm to play as one of the new races.

Oh -- they've already stated that, yes, you will be able to do the 'existing' race/class changes in 4.03 as they're adding the ability to roll said new race/class combos and all of the old world changes.

Good timing! Bornakk just recently commented on this (<a href="http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1116854#blog" target="_new">http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1116854#blog</a>):

Changing to the new race/class combos will also be available once Cataclysm is released on December 7th. There will be a period of time between the Shattering and the launch of Cataclysm where the new combos can be created but not changed into. As with everything, this could change.

So, while you will be able to create, let's say, a dwarf shaman or a tauren paladin just after the shattering, you will be unable to change an existing character into any of the new race/class combinations using the Race Change service until Cataclysm is released.

Should this structure at all change, we'll be sure to let you know. :)

Can I race change into Death Wing and wreck havoc upon Azeroth for a couple of days?

I believe that sort of wizardry would require a Flux Capacitor, the Arrow of Apollo, and maybe an eye of newt.

Bah! Now where am I supposed to find a newt at this time of year? Everyone knows they're hibernating now.

Alright, so we have to get a Battlestar moving at 88MPH, powered solely on garbage...using the eye as a compass. Roger, got it.

Bah, as terror inspiring as he is, DW's a coward. I point you to the solid trumping he got against the forces of the Alliance in the Second War!

I got the Flux Capacitor from Think Geek, the Arrow of Apollo from the Apollo Theater... however, I am having a hard time getting the Eye of Newt. Would you settle for an Eye of Tseric that I got from the bus station? I mean it was pretty easy to get, I just traded him a few empty cans and a 40 for it.

If not, I will keep hunting down the elusive Newt Gingrich.

The problem with this is that Zarhym answered this question too on 10/4 and said the new race/class combos WILL be released with 4.0.3, so which one is really right?
