Auto Attack Macro?
|
I wanted a macro that allows me to switch targets, and once on the next target, it would attack them, as if I pressed "T".
I would bind this to "TAB" so it'd just be like my default target switch. If this is possible, I would like to know if it's a "CAST SEQUENCE" and the other thing would be if I'm already attacking a mob, and I use the macro, would it cancel out? |

put
/assist focus /startattack in front of one of your macros/buttons, and put /startattack in front of all of your offensive macros/buttons bind set focus to ctrl+f or something and set focus the tank when you start and you can jump to his target anytime and any other button will start attacking the closest mob whats wrong with the way that tab works? |
put "TAB" is fine, I just wanted it so that every time that I hit tab, it would also make me start attacking the mob, as opposed to just targeting the mob. There's no macro that could just switch targets, and start attacking? Like: /switchtarget /startattck |

This one hasn't worked in a long time now. Blizz deliberately got rid of it. |

Personally, I've keybound my targeting as follows..
[Shift] + "W" to target nearest enemy [Shift] + "S" to target myself [Shift] + "D" to target Pet [Shift] + "A" to stop targetting It's super simple and you don't have to take your hands off of your movement controls, you only have to modify it with [Shift]. |

/targetenemy
/startattack |

All you need is to make macros for your abilities, such as sinister strike, and backstab for rogues. It auto targets the next mob if your current mob dies, so you lose no time tabbing to your next target.
Example: #showtooltip Sinister Strike /startattack /cast Sinister Strike That's it, nice and easy. Do this with your most common attacks. |
/targetenemy This is the first macro I put on every character. Does exactly what you are asking. |
/targetnearestenemy is one that may help.
Woops, I had no idea. Been a long time since i've played :P Thanks i'll remove it from my macros. |
|
I use:
/targetenemy /startattack [combat] That way when you target a mob before the pull you don't stand there waving your weapon around stupidly from 30 yards away :) |

lol no they didnt... i just made a target nearest enemy macro with auto shot on it for my hunter, well target enemy player actually... so that if im out of focus when i tab i can still auto shot off the bat without right clicking and it works

eg. /targetenemy as was mentioned in previous posts. It will target enemy. It's TAB in essence and does for the most part what targetnearestenemy used to do. Nearest doesn't exist anymore. All range conditions were removed. |

If you want to tab and start the autoattack
/targetenemy /startattack If it's starting to attack when tabbing without you wanting it to, then just turn off the auto attack option in your interface options (not exactly sure what submenu. Combat maybe?) and use regular tab. |

I must be doing something wrong here I've tried (3) different ways and in a mob i stood there like an idiot until I right clicked the next target:
/targetenemy (solo macro) /startattack /castcrusaderstrike (2 lines together) all thee in one macro and still nothing lol what am I not doing right? |
