((To make things a little easier (And so i don't just have a useless OOC post for the OP) I'll add the last post from the old forum into the OP.))
"Well, lets not delay any longer. The sooner we get going, the better." Raniel commented quietly, before following the others out of the citadel. "This won't be easy regardless of how many people we have. Dalaran is a big place. Lots of places the cult can be hiding..." ____________________________ Rrazz shrugged slightly. She didn't have much she could add at this point. She was hardly the stealthy type. So if anyone was going to be going down there it would be Keeneth or Melina. Not her. Melina continued to watch the town silently. She was eager to move, but she wouldn't take any chances by rushing into things. For now at least she would wait until a proper decision was made. "Better you then one of us. You're about the only one that could make it there and back." Karosh admitted after a moment, before falling silent as well. he wasn't about to send anyone off to risk their necks. But he wasn't about to stop them either. |

“It’ll take a while to search all the buildings but we’ll find their site of operations. It’s only a matter before some cultist really screws up to the point of being captured. Hopefully once that happens, the cultist will have a loose tongue and tell us everything we need to know.” the blood elf farstrider commented.
Carana nodded while she decided to listen for the high elf cultist she had heard earlier in the streets. She blindly walked down the stairs and onto the streets as she heard Kennz quickly run into the tailor shop. Jamaea walked up the steps that led to the building while Carana heard the paladin yawn loudly. “Kennz should be able to find a new robe soon… as long as the tailors haven’t ran out of clothes. Wait, it seems the high elf cultist is in the streets. Maybe she’ll stay out long enough to be caught. She seems to be talking to another cultist on a device.” Carana thought while she rubbed her eyes. “Cultist Lor’eth is still doing his hair? He was doing that when I left our operations site two hours ago… and he had been working on his hairstyle for a couple of hours already. And the other cultists wonder why he’s always late for meetings.” the high elf cultist commented on some sort of device. The nearly blind rogue shook her head while she heard Gryphy growl quietly nearby. “The high elf cultist I heard earlier is still in the streets. She seems to be commenting on Cultist Lor’eth working on his hairstyle- over four hours that it. He’s not ‘questioning’ prisoners if he’s grooming his hair.” Carana muttered as she heard Coriani slowly sigh and nod. She suddenly heard Kennz complain loudly in the tailor shop as Jamaea ran inside. ---------------------------- ((Post for Danner)) Danner nodded as he slowly let out a sigh. As much as the warrior wanted to go into Goldshire and look for Mandi stealthily, he knew he couldn’t with him wearing plate armor and the chance that one of the guards could recognize him. The warrior knew it would be foolish for either Rrazz or Sorley to head to the town since Foxten had a hatred of priests and the male night elf appeared to be nearly falling asleep. That left Keeneth and Melina, who were best suited for the task. “Keeneth and Melina would have the easiest time sneaking around the town. I wish I could go and help look for my cousin but I can’t sneakily; not with my plate armor on. Hopefully Mandi is safe and uninjured in Goldshire.” Rob commented before letting out a sigh. The strawberry blond hair warrior glanced around the forest just to make sure no cultists, shades or kobolds were watching them. He rubbed his eyes before speaking, “I hope so; I’ll be angry if someone, especially Foxten got a hold of Mandi and hurt her. Just be careful Melina and Keeneth, I don’t want anyone else to go missing.” “Don’t worry about me, Danner; I can handle myself. We’ll stay in the outskirts and watch for guard patrols before sneaking in.” Keeneth said as he looked through his bags and found a clear vial filled halfway with sand. He handed his nephew the vial The tall rogue slowly started to walk towards Goldshire as spoke, “Since you seem to be worried, tip the vial over and watch the sand fall to the bottom once we leave. We should be back before then with Mandi and maybe that dwarf mage...” ((I had to break up the post that contained Foxten's part. It'll follow below this post. Let me know if there is anything this part can improve on.)) |

((Post about Foxten- death knight in Goldshire.))
Foxten sheathed his runeblade before he bent down to check on his newest captive who was knocked out on the floor. It would be a little while before the young adult human female would awaken but he would make sure that she would be unable to escape once she was conscious. The death knight picked the unconscious warlock over his shoulder and walked into the kitchen in order to head to the basement since he couldn’t take the captive to his cousin’s house where he kept a small runeforge until tonight. The bald death knight headed into the basement of the inn and walked over near the alcove that was under the staircase. Foxten moved the dark blanket he had covering the space and set the human female on the cold floor. He removed the warlock’s cloak from her and undid the bun from her long, black hair; hoping it would become a tangled mess given time. He also decided to take off her boots on her feet before finding the enchanted ropes he kept in his bag. He then tightly tied the warlock’s hands behind her back despite the fact she had a broken arm and tied her ankles together. The death knight grinned as he hoped she would be in serious pain when she regained conscious later on. He would have fun torturing her more tonight. Foxten was about to walk out of the basement when he remembered that the young female could scream loudly. “Can’t have her screaming after I leave…now where are those potions?” Foxten muttered to himself as he looked through his bags with his glowing blue eyes. He grabbed a pink vial and a purplish-red vial and forced them down the unconscious warlock’s throat. The contents of the pink vial would keep the warlock silent; even a quiet whisper would hurt like fel to speak while the other potion would make her feel too weak to move for several hours. Foxten decided to take the warlock’s sash off her waist before he headed towards the stairs and shattered the vials on the floor; just in the unlikely case the contents of the purplish-red vial didn’t work and He put the warlock’s cloak, sash and boots in his bags as he walked up the stairs and into the large room of the inn. ((Is this and post above okay? Let me know if any edits are needed to this one. Sorry for the delay in posting. Thanks for copying over those pages in part two. Feel free to post whenever you feel like it, Rrazz. Keeneth might pick up a squirrel and a few other critters before going into Goldshire if that's okay with you. Kennz in Dalaran is likely complaining about the robe's color- it might be hot pink or some other bright color like that won't blend in. I'll help copy part three over to the part two archive later. Raniel, not for the first time, cursed the fact that his hearing wasn't as keen as it used to be, and was nowhere near as sensitive as Carana's. Despite this he didn't complain, nor tried overly hard to pick out where the voice was coming from. He would trust the rogue and her keener ears.
He spared a subtle glance about the street, though noted with a cringe that there was quite a crowd in the streets, and he wouldn't be able to pick someone out of it easily. "And that's why i don't trust elves. Not all of them anyway. Some care more about their appearance then an-" He hesitated as he did in fact hear something. This being the argument coming from the tailoring store. With a quiet chuckle, he set off towards it, pushing the cultist from his mind for the moment. _________________________________________________ Melina offered a slight nod as she idly loosened her blade and checked to ensure everything else was in order with her attire. It was a well practiced pre-operation action. Ensuring both her weapons were ready to be drawn at a moments notice, and her armour wouldn't cause difficulties while she tried to sneak about. "Don't worry. I've done this more then once." She lowered her voice slightly as she turned and began to creep off. "Though admittedly the guards weren't actively looking for me...And i wasn't rescuing anyone..." She knew the guards weren't exactly watching for her. but if Foxten had found and captured Mandi, he'd have either forced the information of their plan out of her (or at least their presence in the area) or would be generally alert for signs of other intruders. Karosh offered a grunt as he watched the pair go. "All this sneaking around...Where' the honour in stalking up behind someone and stabbing them in the back? Face to face is the true warriors way of fighting!" "Sometimes zee direct path, isn't zee visest." Rrazz said quietly, her gaze briefly shifting to the orc, before drifting to the town. ((Sounds good to me. And no worries, you did a lot more to copy over the archives then i did. Hope you have a good night and day too.)) |

Carana sighed quietly while she heard Kennz continued to argue. She wasn’t sure what was making the priest upset but it likely had something to do with a robe. The nearly blind rogue listened to the female high elf cultist in the streets continue to talk through a device as Carana heard Coriani nod with Nightmare’s comment. She heard Coriani mutter about Cultist Lor’eth being on the vain side from a young age while the blood elf farstrider nodded slowly. She decided to the doorway of the Threads of Fate to hear what Kennz’s issue exactly was. “What is the problem here?” Carana asked quietly while she heard Kennz sigh heavily in frustration.
“Can’t you see what the problem is… o, sorry. I was explaining the situation and I needed a new robe; preferably a blue, green, tan or even a cream colored one. According to her, they are sold out of all robes except that hot pink robe over there…” Kennz said, pointing to the outfit on the eastern wall. “I can’t walk around in that; for one it’s pink and two, the cultists would see me coming a good distance away even if I wore it. Something tells me that can’t be the only robe left in this building.” Kennz said, shaking his head. The dark auburn haired rogue heard Jamaea shake her head briefly. Carana understood why Kennz didn’t want to wear the hot pink robe; she wasn’t fond of the color either but that was besides the matter. She couldn’t see the robe but she figured it would stand out a bit too much in her mind. “Just what we needed… I hope they have another robe.” Carana muttered while she continued to listen to the high elf cultist in the streets. ----------------------------- ((Post for Danner)) “Subtlety is the best option for now since we do have an ambush against Foxten planned. Don’t need him to find out about it.” Danner commented as he turned the vial over and watched the sand start to slowly fall to the bottom. He knew there wasn’t much they could do right now except wait for Keeneth and Melina to return with Mandi and keep an eye out for trouble. He noticed that the human priest had sat down on the grass and looked disturbed. “Are you okay?” Danner asked Sorley. Danner noticed Sorley shake his head before speaking, “Not really. Just hearing the possibility that Mandi could have ran into Foxten is bring back memories of the tortures that were inflicted on me by Foxten a few years back. It took me a long time to recover from that. I noticed her robes kind of resemble a shadow priest’s one. I’m really hoping that Mandi is safe but if she did run into him, that she wasn’t mistaken as a priest….” “Let’s hope he didn’t...” Danner muttered as he shivered slightly. He knew it was very likely that Mandi hadn’t summoned a minion before she entered Goldshire since she went there to look for the dwarf mage. He also knew Foxten had a hatred of priests and if he had ran into Mandi and mistaken her- the warrior shuddered at the thought. He sat down and sighed heavily. “In case you’re wondering, I’m grabbing these just in case we need a distraction.” Keeneth quietly commented as he found a squirrel and put in one of his packs before finding a rabbit. He carefully grabbed the small, brown creature with long ears as he continued to head towards Goldshire. A short time later, the tall rogue reached the outskirts of Goldshire and stealthy knelt down behind a shrub. “I suggest we watch for guards for a few minutes before entering…” Keeneth muttered quietly. ((I had to break up the post containing Foxten's part due to limits. Let me know if there is any improvements this part can use. Foxten's post will follow below.)) |

((Post about Foxten- evil death knight in Goldshire.))
Foxten walked through the kitchen and into the large room of the inn in Goldshire as he glanced at the unconscious guests near the fireplace. He grinned evilly and knew they’d be passed out for at least another day. He was about to unlock the door when he remembered that he hadn’t activated his orb of disguise. A death knight in the service of the Lich King wouldn’t be welcomed in the town under normal stances. However, with the right masquerade, he could walk around the place without anyone knowing who he actually was. The bald death knight activated the orb and now appeared to have graying brown hair, brown-green eyes, and tan skin. His armor also appeared to be the standard Stormwind Guard set; after all he was the marshal that King Varian had placed her due to the mind control from the cultists. No one had any clue that he was a death knight in this town; except his cousin who he was holding as a captive. He checked one last time to make sure runeblade was hidden before unlocking the door of the inn. He stepped outside of the building and locked the inn again with the keys the innkeeper had. Once he made sure the place was secured, he made his way over to the blacksmith shop where he could tell the few guards to keep an eye out for travelers. Something still told him that Keeneth could be in the area still. Foxten was about to enter the building when he noticed it in the clearing south of where he was. The most abominating thing he had ever seen before; it was a gnome priest. Fury and rage nearly consumed him as he had a hatred of priests and paladins to begin with. Foxten also hated gnomes and to see a gnome priest… he needed to destroy it quickly. He stepped inside of the building in order to find a two handed mace to smash it to smithereens. “Have any of the maces here been repaired? I found an abomination that needs to be destroyed swiftly.” Foxten commented to the young guard with dark hair. “Sorry, Marshal; my expertise of blacksmithing isn’t the best. I’m still trying to repair this sword. But we can’t have a scourge abomination running around here- I heard that Lynn has one in her house. Perhaps you can check with her; I’m sure she’ll allow you to use it. It’s too bad she’s sick right now.” “I’ll ask her then; keep an eye out for travelers that might want to enter the inn. It’s still closed from that ‘spill’ that one… alchemist made but it should it clear up by… tomorrow hopefully.” Foxten said before swiftly leaving the building and heading to his cousin’s house. Lynn was his cousin that had taken captive; she was still alive of course but getting gradually weaker. The warlock he had captured would be held at his cousin’s house too, by tonight. He smiled as he saw his cousin’s small house up ahead near a tree. ((Is this okay? Let me know if there are any changes needed. Sorry it took me so long to post. Feel free to post whenever you feel like it, Rrazz. Foxten should be able to be seen in the streets (At least when he's walking over to the blacksmith shop- not necessarily to his cousin's house.) by Keeneth and Melina if that's okay with you. There's a few more robes in the tailor shop in Dalaran but... one of them is bright yellow. I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz.)) |
|
Raniel offered a quiet chuckle as he listened to the situation. Despite the amusement however, he knew that wasn't going to help them. They would need to blend in, not stand out even more! Which is what that robe would do for sure.
With a slight shrug he approached the counter and rested his hands on it. "I do hope that isn't...All you have?" He asked as nicely as he could manage. He couldn't really force them if they were holding out. But getting violent wouldn't help either really. "We can pay extra if that's what it'll take." _____________________________________ Rrazz bit her lip as she vaguely recalled Mandi's attire. If one were to look at it that way, she could pass for a priest. And given how, unbalanced this Foxten was supposed to be, it was likely he would make that mistake. "Vell, I'm sure she's fine..." Melina briefly considered protesting the idea. Before she simply shrugged it off and decided not to. It was hardly the distraction she'd have used. But then again it wasn't a bad idea either. A slight nod was the only response she gave, before falling into step behind Keeneth. It was only a short trip. But it still seemed to take an agonizingly long time to reach Goldshire's edge and duck out of sight. "It's for the best. We don't want to walk into a trap." She confirmed, before focusing on the town. It was strangely quiet. She'd never seen the small town this, lifeless before... it was almost unnerving. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she briefly caught sight of a figure. And in a attempt to stay quiet, she lightly nudged Keeneth before nodding towards the person. Of course he'd likely seen him already, but she couldn't be to careful. ((Sounds good to me. I'm sure through one means or another they could arrange a better robe, but we'll see how things go :P Hope you have a good night and day too.)) |
|
“Well, there is a bright yellow robe that was just recently finished. It’s a good quality one but that wouldn’t help you out unfortunately with you wanting to blend in. We could check upstairs to see if we have any plain-colored robes hiding in a crate or something.” the high elf said before walking up the stairs.
Carana sniffled and nearly sneezed while she put a hand through her curly hair. She held her breath for a few seconds as she heard Jamaea rub her eyes and yawn. The nearly blind rogue knew her future sister in-law was still a bit tired from last night when she suddenly sneezed. She blindly felt around for a handkerchief as she heard the female high elf cultist continue to speak in the streets with a device. Carana found one and wiped her nose as she heard Coriani sit down on the steps outside the building. “Sounds like there are a few robes…” Carana muttered while she heard the high elf walk near the counter. “I found a few more robes upstairs. This one is gray and as you can see, it’s a bit tattered and has patches but it should fit you. I grabbed a blue robe but I just realized that it’s made for a gnome. It won’t fit you by any chance. The periwinkle robe I have here is a very good quality one; however it is on the expensive side. You said you would be willing to pay extra if needed.” the high elf commented, putting each robe on the counter. The combat rogue heard Kennz sigh heavily at the robes. Carana couldn’t see the robes but she knew the gray or periwinkle robes would blend in better than the hot pink or bright yellow ones. She could hear the high elf cultist still foolishly speaking while Kennz walked over to the counter to inspect the robes. “How much is it?” Carana asked quietly when she heard the human male nearly gasp at the periwinkle robe. ----------------------------- ((Post for Danner)) Danner rubbed his eyes and watched the sand of the vial slowly fall to the bottom. The strawberry blond haired warrior was worried with how insane Foxten supposedly was that if he could easily mistake her or the dwarf mage as a priest. He glanced around the forest and didn’t see any cultists, shades or kobolds from that one mine miles south of where they were at. There wasn’t much else he could do at the moment except watch the sand slowly fall in the vial Keeneth handed to him. “I’m hoping since Foxten could mistake my cousin for a priest that Mandi is somewhere safe and injury free. I’m more worried at the moment about Kasey contacting any time soon. My little sister is already worried about me but if she knew Mandi was now missing... I’m hoping Kasey will continue to sleep for a few more hours.” Rob commented quietly before letting out a sigh. The warrior nodded slowly. He knew Kasey would worry about Mandi if she knew her cousin was currently missing. “She should sleep; I wouldn’t worry about her waking up yet. Raj’tel is in Shattrath and could keep an eye on her if she wakes up. Over an eighth of the sand in the vial has fallen to the bottom of it.” Danner said as he looked at the sand fall to the bottom of the vial. Keeneth nodded at Melina and looked at the figure he had seen exiting the blacksmith shop some moments ago. The figure was a human male and a high ranking guard by the tabard he wore; possibly the new ‘Marshal’ that had been assigned to Goldshire. Keeneth kept very still as he continued to observe the soldier walk towards the northern part of the abnormally quiet town. “Graying brown hair, tan skin, I can’t see what his eye color is; however that high ranking guard is the same height as Foxten...” Keeneth thought briefly. The tall rogue hadn’t seen an orb in the soldier’s hand but that didn’t mean an orb wasn’t hidden on him. Keeneth noted the high ranking soldier seemed rather miffed about something when he quickly walked out of sight in the northwestern direction. He noted a young looking human guard with sandy blond hair walk out of the blacksmith shop and sit outside the steps. Keeneth sighed quietly before he whispered, “That high ranking guard could have been the marshal; best to keep an eye out for him. I’m not sure what that guard is doing but we could try to pass as travelers who left belongings in the inn if he doesn’t go back inside.” ((Is this okay? Let me know if there are any changes I can make. Sorry for the delay in posting. Feel free to post whenever you feel like it. Mandi should start slowly waking up in the next few posts if that's okay with you (even though she won't be able to do much. The guard currently watching the inn could be a bit suspicious of the activities in the place (and might let Keeneth and Melina lock pick the place.). That one periwinkle robe in Dalaran is expensive- could be easily a few hundred gold. I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz. )) |
|
Raniel offered a polite nod to the elf as she departed in search of something a little more suitable. Ordinarily he'd have probably taken the pink robe simply for some form of amusement, but this was a serious matter, and he refused to endanger their mission for personal amusement.
"Expensive huh?" The rogue asked as a hand lightly scratched his chin, the other simply tapped against the counter as he studied the robe. "Certainly better suited for our...Needs." He knew he wasn't going to like this, but swiftly gave up thinking. "How much is, expensive?" _____________________________________________________________ Despite herself, Rrazz began to idly tap one hoof against the ground as she counted the seconds. It was unnerving to say the least, after all they had no idea what to expect inside the city, and with two people missing already, the stakes were high and the risk even more so. She trusted Melina and Keeneth not to do anything stupid. But that didn't mean she had full faith in them not being caught, especially if the dwarf or Mandi had been captured and revealed anything. Alex began to quietly pace back and forth, a quiet string of arcane words leaving his lips as he tried not to dwell on the situation. When he was nervous, he recited spells, and it was obvious by how rapidly he was doing so that he wasn't calming down anytime soon. Zeek on the other hand simply crossed his arms and waited, he too was uneasy about their reduced number and missing companions. But he was better at hiding it then his fellow mage and priestess. Melina nodded slightly as she watched the *marshal* he looked the part. And if anything appeared perfectly normal. Something about him was, off, but he didn't look any different to just another human on the streets of Stormwind or Goldshire really. Maybe that was just her however. Instead of voicing her opinion, she kept silent until long after he'd vanished out of sight. Focusing next on the other guard Keeneth had pointed out. "Hmmm...Don't like this..." Goldshire was hardly undefended at the best of times. But it almost felt like they were watching the tavern and little else...Maybe she was just being paranoid. Though the distinct lack of anyone at all on the streets certainly didn't help her attitude in the least. "It'll work. Though I can't really be seen, not like this." She made a slight gesture to her face to indicate her eyes. Blood Elves weren't exactly tolerated around here, but if she pulled her hood up and just kept her head down everything should be fine. ((Sounds good to me. Somehow i doubt Raniel has that kind of gold but I'm sure they could work something out. Hope you have a good night and day too.)) |

((Sorry for the delay- I'll see if I can get a post on Cara soon. However, I've had a nasty headache for several hours that might make me post later on her (if I don't get it up within a few hours, I'll try to get it up Tuesday evening or early Wednesday PST). Mandi might be dreaming in the next post. Keeneth should have goggles in one of his packs that Melina could use if that's okay with you.
I'm wondering if there are wild turkeys in Elwynn Forest around the year (not just during Pilgrim's bounty... he might spot one in the next post or two if that's the case.) I saw one of your posts in another thread about Rrazz in Cata :( (I happen to like that character myself but it's your character. Most, if not all my characters will miss her greatly in Cata if that's the case; especially Carana and Coriani.) I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz.)) |

((No worries. Post when you feel up to it. There's no rush.
I, suppose there would be turkeys about. I don't really see why they would only show up at one point during the year and vanish again, so that's fine with me. Everything else is fine too. Heh well...I personally don't plan on getting rid of Rrazz come Cata, in fact i hope to keep playing her. Though the possibility is there and i considered it. I've been having a hard time keeping her character straight recently (In this thread she's fine) and I've been considering getting rid of her or at least starting over. For now at least i don't plan on getting rid of her. :) Though when i read the thread, she was really the only one i had actually planned an ending for so i figured I'd post it. Anyway, hope you have a good night and day too :) )) |

Carana stayed near the doorway of the Threads of Fate while she heard Jamaea go near the counter and inspect the robes. She heard the high elf mention the price of the periwinkle robe as she heard Jamaea shake her head and sigh heavily. “Two hundred seventy gold coins for the periwnkle robe? That’s a lot for one…” Carana thought while she rubbed her eyes. The nearly blind rogue wondered what materials were used in the outfit. She wasn’t a tailor but Carana figured the supplies couldn’t be that pricey. “Can I ask what makes it so expensive? How much is the gray robe?” Carana asked as she cringed from Stinger starting to screech.
“This robe here was created from mooncloth, which has to be created near a moonwell. Several dyes, rune-spools of thread, and other things were used to create this outfit. The gray robe with the patches is thirty gold coins, however; it’s made from linen and it likely won’t keep him that warm. I can offer a discount for the periwinkle robe.” the high elf commented. The human rogue glanced towards the counter even though she couldn’t see it due to her poor eyesight. Discounts were good; how much of one was the question. Carana had the gold on her for the periwinkle robe but she wasn’t about to pay full price for the outfit. She put a hand through her curly dark auburn hair when she heard the female high elf cultist mention she was disguise as a human. Carana listened to the crowds in the streets and noted there were several humans nearby. “How much of a discount are you offering? We don’t have time to be here all day…” Jamaea muttered quietly before yawning quietly. ------------------------- ((Post for Danner)) “I’m really tired but I’ll do my best to stay awake. It’s always worrisome when people go missing; just hopefully the ambush plans haven’t been ruined. At least we have a way of keeping track of how long they have been gone with the sand that vial. Hmm… what is that creature over near that small shrub?” the male night elf asked tiredly. Danner was lost in thought about Mandi when he noticed the male night elf pointing at a shrub with flowers. The warrior didn’t see anything at first but then he heard a gobbling sound in the shrub. He sighed as he saw a wild turkey walk towards the group. He didn’t know why it was running about now as it wasn’t near Pilgrim’s Bounty. “A wild turkey… dang, I wish I had seen it during Pilgrim’s Bounty.” Danner commented as he shook his head. “I wonder why a turkey would be trying to hang around us. Perhaps it’s lonely. I heard rumors of some turkeys that run into bonfires for no good reason. Great, there’s another one… hopefully Melina and Keeneth will get back soon.” Rob commented, scratching his head as another turkey a few yards from Karosh. “It seems that guard is watching the inn closely. I wonder why…” Keeneth thought while he sighed. He nodded at Melina’s comment and decided to look for a pair of goggles for the Sin’Dorei. He didn't want her to be arrested the moment they walked into Goldshire considering she was a blood elf. Keeneth found the goggles in one of his packs and got them out. The tall rogue sighed before commenting, “If you want, I have these you can use as a disguise. It should cover your eyes and fool the guards. Then we can see about entering the inn…” He held them out on his right hand. Meanwhile, Mandi was still unconscious in the basement of the inn, bound tightly. She was dreaming, however of her near a warm bonfire near Longshore in Westfall. She had finished a meal and was about to take a nap when she suddenly heard a footstep nearby. The young warlock got on her feet slowly and looked around, not spotting anything. She grabbed her staff and started to walk; keeping a close eye for trouble. The warlock was suddenly hit by a fireball several seconds later as she noticed a human female who was wearing a red bandana over her face. A Defias Pillager... great, the last thing she wanted to run into at the time. Mandi started to cast several shadow bolts from her hands towards the figure when she was suddenly knocked to the ground. ((Is this okay? Let me know if there are any changes I can make- will make them later if needed. Sorry it took me so long to post. Feel free to post whenever you feel like it. I'm thinking that Keeneth will go to the inn in the next post if that's okay with you. The young guard might let them lock pick the door. Mandi should wake up in the next post or two (dream/nightmare is of a Defias Pillager attacking her...) By the way, Failiani has her mount training finally (thanks Rrazz, I'll pay you back). However, I still have to choose a mount. I like the black hawkstrider (goes well with her hair color) but the armored version of it is honor based. I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz.)) |
|
Raniel tapped one bony finger against the counter as he toyed with the price. Discount or no, it would still be an expensive, but potentially worth while investment. After a slight hesitation he tugged his coin pouch off his belt and began counting the coins within. "Two, seventy...Don't think i carry that kind of spare change around..."
He listened intently to hear about the discount, though he had a feeling it wouldn't help there cause. "Seventy...Eighty...Hmmm..." In the mean time he continued counting his coins. ______________________________ "It's a...Vhat?" Rrazz shrugged helplessly. "A turkey...Bird that humans eat. Other races too." Alex informed her. "Don't worry, it won't bite or anything." The draenei nodded, but chose not to answer for the time being, favoring instead to just watch it from a safe distance. Melina hesitated for a moment, before muttering a thanks and accepting the goggles. "Should fool them from a distance at least." She mumbled, before carefully pulling them down over her eyes. The elf couldn't say she was a fine, but it would work. That was the main thing. "Lets hope they aren't guarding the inn...It could get ugly if they defend it." ((Sounds good to me. And no worries, glad i could help :D It's not much but at least it gets you a mount that little bit quicker. Sorry for the delay, had a early night, and a rather rough day. Haven't had the chance to really stop and think about a post till now. Not much, but it's a post at least. Hope you have a good night and day too.)) |

((I'm sorry for the delay but I'll have to post on Cara later. I'm feeling under the weather unfortunately due to something I ate that contained gluten (I'll try to have a post on her Friday evening or early Saturday PST.). Another turkey or two might show up near Danner and the others if that's okay with you- turkeys shouldn't do anything unless someone decides to start a small campfire. It shouldn't take much longer with the robe in Dalaran- Cara has the gold for it.
I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz. :) )) |

((No worries, post when you have time and feel up to it. There's no rush, I'm not going nowhere and neither is the RP lol :D Hope you're feeling better soon.
Anyway, Sounds good to me. Hope you have a good night and day too :) )) |

“The discount for the periwinkle robe depends on how well your… standing is with the Kirin Tor mages. With the discount, the robe would be between two hundred sixteen gold coins and two hundred fifty-six gold coins. It doesn’t appear that any of you are exalted with the Kirin Tor to get the highest discount but I could be wrong…” the high elf said before rubbing her eyes.
Carana sighed while she felt around for one of her two coin bags. She wasn’t sure if Nightmare was exalted with the Kirin Tor but she knew she wasn’t; the mages didn’t talk with her unless they needed help with a task or some matter of business. “I can pay for this quickly since that one high elf cultist seems to be foolish enough to stay out in the streets.” Carana thought while she found her coin bag in one of her larger bags and pulled it out. She blindly walked over to the counter and started to untie the strings on the bag. The curly haired rogue hoped the coins wouldn’t fall out of the bag and onto the floor. “I’m unfortunately not exalted with the Kirin Tor- hadn’t done much to gain their respect. I do have gold coins but I don’t know if I have enough. O my, I didn’t realize you had that much on you, Car. I hope you didn’t steal any of that gold...” Jamaea commented, rubbing her green eyes. The nearly blind rogue sighed as most of the gold coins in her bag had fallen on the counter. This gold had come from her earnings at the Argent Tournament grounds with their daily tasks. She blindly tried to count the coins with one hand as she heard Jamaea walk over near her. “Don’t worry; this isn’t from my pick pocket earnings…” Carana whispered as she heard Jamaea sigh loudly. ----------------------- ((Post for Danner)) Danner sighed as he watched a scrawny turkey go near the vial of sand. The warrior rubbed his eyes and noticed a very plump turkey near a small log several feet away. He hadn’t seen one that plump in a long time while decided to grab the vial of sand so it wouldn’t get knocked over accidently. “Only thing the turkeys might do is make their gobbling sound… Rob, what are you doing?” Danner asked quietly as he watched Rob go a few yards south with some pieces of timber and flint. “I hope nobody minds if I start a fire. It won’t last long- not with the supplies I got here. The fire might last five minutes at most. It gets me something to do while we wait for Keeneth and Melina to get back. We could boil water for tea if anyone wants it but I want to see if that rumor Carana told me about turkeys running into campfires is true or not...” Rob commented, attempting to start a small, basic campfire. The warrior rolled his eyes at the mention of his sister. He didn’t mind a small campfire for now as it wouldn’t be able to be seen from Goldshire where they were at. After all, they had to wait for the others to get back before the ambush could get underway and watching to see if a turkey walked into a fire would be interesting. “We’ll see in a bit about that rumor if you can get that campfire started.” Danner commented quietly. “Let’s hope they don’t…” Keeneth said, nodding slowly. He made sure the hood of his cloak was concealing his face before he headed into Goldshire. The tall rogue sure didn’t want to be recognized by anyone; especially Foxten. He carefully crossed the street and inconspicuous walked over to the door of the closed inn. He noticed the door was tightly locked when the young guard slowly got up and started to walk over to them. “Hopefully we’ll be able to convince him that we left some of our belongings in the inn…” Keeneth whispered softly. “The inn is closed due to a… spill with an alchemist or so I hear.” the young human guard said with an uncertain look on his face before continuing, “It won’t be open until tomorrow at the earliest. Care to explain what you are doing…?” ((Have to break up a post. It'll continue below. Let me know if there are any changes this part can use.)) |

((continued from above.))
Mandi struggled as she felt someone grab both of her arms and pick her off of the ground in her dream. The warlock tried to scream but a small cry was all that came out due to a silencing spell. She noticed the female Defias Pillager was walking closer to her before a linen bag had been placed over her head. She somehow managed to get free of the grip momentarily when she suddenly heard a bone snap in her left wrist. The young warlock winced in pain before she felt a blow hit her. She knew it would give her a concussion while she felt extremely dizzy and lightheaded. She heard the figures conversion on what to do with her when she had blacked out in her dream. Mandi woke up in the cold basement of the inn with extreme pain. Her hands were tied tightly behind her back and broken right arm hurt like fel. She noted that her ankles had been tied together with enchanted ropes; probably the same ropes that were bounding her hands. Wait… she could see her feet? She had been wearing boots! Had the death knight taken off with her boots? She realized that her cloak was missing and her long, black hair was out of the bun and starting to get tangled. “What the fel? That death knight took off with my sash. I feel far too weak to move and it hurts to even whisper. What did he do to me while I was… how long was I passed out? It could have been hours as far as I know. I can’t yell for help so hopefully someone will find me soon.” Mandi thought while she winced in pain. ((Is this okay? Let me know if there are any changes I can make- I'll make them later. Sorry for the very long delay. Feel free to post whenever you feel like it, Rrazz. I'll let you decide if Rob's campfire is a success or not. Mandi is awake now but she really can't do anything until someone finds her. The young guard might be suspicious enough of the activities in the inn to let Keeneth or Melina lock pick the door. Carana might get a bit frustrated counting out the gold coins. I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz.)) |

Raniel was about to confirm that he indeed wasn't in the best of standing with the mages, when Carana intervened. He wasn't about to argue, and instead offered a slight nod before stepping back, if necessary he'd arrange repayment. But for now they had to keep moving and the less time spent haggling over prices the better.
____________________________________ Rrazz offered a slight shrug as she watched the group, and the turkeys. She hadn't really run into them before, but they weren't doing any harm so she didn't see any reason to panic or chase them off. For now she simply kept to herself and did her best to ignore them. "Vell...Should be good for a laugh at least..." She didn't pay much attention to him building the campfire. thought vaguely noticed it was successful. Melina nodded very slightly, before focusing on the inn. If they could get in without being noticed, then the mission became a whole lot easier. Of course things never go according to plan, not in her mind at least. And they swiftly ran into a locked door. She was already in the process of searching for her lock picking tools. Before being interrupted by the guard. Naturally he couldn't leave well enough alone and was going to slow them down. If they had to, she'd subdue him somehow, but for now they couldn't risk wasting time. "Forgive the...Interruption. Sadly we were forced out of the inn rather suddenly and weren't able to retrieve all of our things. We were just hoping to come back and gather our belongings." She wasn't the best at making things up as she went. But it was something at least... ((No worries...That all sounds good to me. Sorry my post isn't the best. Pretty tired at the moment and not thinking to clearly >.< Maybe i should have left it till later. Oh well, done now. Hope you have a good night and day too :) )) |

((Your post is fine, Rrazz. I'm sorry for the delay but I'll have to post on Cara later. I'm nearly falling asleep in the middle of writing her post (I'll try to have her post up Tuesday evening or early Wednesday PST). I'm thinking that the very plump turkey might jump into the bonfire Rob created if that's okay with you. The high elf cultist in the streets of Dalaran shouldn't be too hard to find even with a disguise (her voice resembles a high elf still). Hopefully the avatars will be fixed soon.
I hope you have a good night and a good day, Rrazz. :) )) |
