I'd say I pretty well enjoyed the research and as I said was planning on making a more extensive stats post on the Artifice forums to break things down and say good job and this is the work we went through to get here. Unfortunately Foundation does not have paid logs so I cannot view yours back as far as ours, but yes Artifice did pull LK 543 or 544 times and no, Ash we never used more than 45 attempts previously. We averaged 16.48 pulls per raid day that we pulled it, and 27.2 pulls per week. I don't think I'll post the rest of the stats that I'm working on here, but if you're interested I can send them to you later. Guude certainly had a fine estimation based on the information he had, but when working from wrong information you end up more wrong 66% of the time 100% of the time...

I was about to say, you don't have to do much to incite Didy into research, it's kind of some strange interest of his. I don't understand it either.
You can laugh at, however, that he doesn't carry his authenticator with him at all times and had to resort to using someone else's account. Amongst other reasons. I know I do. |

I'm sorry Didy but that information is incorrect, at least half of it is. Yes you are correct that when i was in the guild you guys didn't pull more then 45 (44 one week and 43 another). But I did go ahead and count this up since I was super bored well Meredith was out shopping this morning. 24 weeks with some weeks not having logs for a Sunday or a Monday, with a total of 559 Logged attempts and 1 Downing. |

No reason to apologize, but you've made one of two errors. Either you've counted normal LK kills as attempts, or you've accidentally counted one or two days twice since days from other months do occasionally appear on the previous month's calendar on WoL. I've checked a couple more times and it is definitely 543 or 544 attempts and one kill. When I add in the normal kills I ended up with 560 which was very close to your number and there are a couple of 17 or 18 attempt days that fall right on the border of a month. As for the weeks missing logs, I think there are 6 or 7 blank spaces and I think 4 or 5 of those are accurate but I'm not positive on the other one or two. We definitely had a few rough weeks in there without healers online to pull or with only about 16 dps available. Is focus your new guild? what server?

Yea Focus is the guild I joined to play with in Cataclysm, I wanted something new for Cataclysm and playing Horde for 6 years now I decided to go Alliance. It's on Cenarius a PvE server, but you know just as others I don't PvP so server type didn't matter to me. It's a very high pop server with a lot of good players. I will keep in touch since I like to play Starcraft 2 with Lynora and her Asian friends to show how bad I truly am at the game :P, also only transfered my DK so I could keep characters on Boulderfist.
And on topic, I don't care how long it took you guys. You did well and killed the Final boss before the end of the expansion, Congratulations. |

haha, yeah she said she was beating you while we were talking one night, I can't keep up with them at all at this point. I liked your apps on the Focus website, always interesting to see an introspective view on those sorts of things and both you and lily did write very good applications, though I did think you guys could have at least worded things a little independently >.<(ctrlC, ctrlV doesn't fit into a one button macro...).
As for caring about a number, I care because I enjoy finding answers, making results clear and traceable, and being able to present my work to people without my background and have them understand and appreciate it. This is just a continuation of that personality on the wow forums, I don't expect anybody to appreciate my work here, but there's no reason to shed our normal behaviors when playing/posting. -Didy |

I... said their apps were very good actually... I think they'll do very well over there, Focus looks quite good and very mature and the server definitely has some great players in general. If you don't understand the single button macro thing because you don't know how much ash and I like to troll each other, don't worry you're little head about it.
