The best mage leveling spec

Been arcane 1-54 so far on my new mage. Love it.
I've tried the other two. They're fine. But the overall DPS and burst of arcane has suited my style (read: let's level fast) very nicely. |

I have played them all. (This is my personal preference)
Arcane: Decent but kinda boring. Not bad 7/10 Fire: Its okay, you run out of mana quite a bit in the instance. And leveling. Downtime= boring 5/10 Frost: Its fun. Mobs die before they can touch you. Your pretty powerful with finger of frost. 9/10 |

Mobs die before they can touch you. I get that in arcane 9 times out of 10. Difference is, this even happens letting mobs run to you at full speed. (Slow came later, and is nice but not really required for the effect.) In other words I still get to kill them without taking a hit most times, but the process is faster. To each their own. But arcane is still best in my xp. |

I leveled from 1-80 as arcane and it worked great. Majority of the time mobs died before they got to me. Once I hit 80 though I switched because it was too boring and I think I may stick with frost to 85. But definitely go arcane for fast leveling.

PvE server > Arcane. No contest.
PvP server > Arcane if you dont care about getting ganked. > Frost if you want to fight back. |
