I'm an arcane/fire dual specced mage and I just can't seem to beat these prot pallies. Can anyone give me pointers or tips? Thanks in advance.

At lower levels, a crit from their shield can take about 80% of your HP while WoG keeps them from ever dying. At lvl 80 they are mostly a pain, AS does hit too hard, but it still snares (if glyphed), silences and WoG still keeps them alive for a long time in a 1v1.
