It's another day in the online neighborhood! I hope you all have a great one. ^_^
More adventures with the new patching system last night; it really makes me miss the good ol' days when I could just download patches here at work then take them home and update all our PC's there. Now, it's a fight to try and update both computers, since we have a 375MB daily download allowance on satellite. Or lose some sleep and stay up til 1am to initiate a download during our free download period (between 1am and 7am CST). Any way you slice it, it's an inconvenient PITA and I wish Blizz would go back t the old way of patching, there was nothing wrong with it.
Topic of the Day: Now that November is just about over and December is right around the corner, the question of the hour is: Have you finished Christmas shopping yet?
Not really, I tend to be something of a procrastinator when it comes to buying for Christmas. Of course, there are really only three people I buy for: My parents and my husband. I'm not really one of those people that ascribes to the habit of buying for every single person I've ever met. I might buy for a friend occasionally, but not often.
I'm just not big on giving of material things, of course, I'm a rather graceless receiver, too. *lol* It's not that I hate being given a gift, I dislike the idea of someone spending money on me that they could have used for themselves. I've tried to be better about it and put up less of a fight, but it's still a challenge sometimes.
The greatest gift anyone has ever given me is just the gift of time; saying, "Hey, I'mma come visit" or "Hey, let's go out for some coffee". I would rather spend time with the people I love and enjoy than give them yet another material object that they may or may not want or need. Or a gift card. Oh God, let's not get into the gift card debate. *lol*
