My team and I are trying to decide between running an RMP or RMPaladin in Cata. Since priests seem to be completely worthless as a healer, and have no offensive ability anymore, will the comp still work?
If it is ran with a Paladin, does the lack of an offensive dispel (not counting spell-steal) gimp the team? It looks like Pally's will be able to go very offensive and keep their team up better than a priest. Freedom/BoP seem pretty nice as well. What are your thoughts?
The way I've been thinking about it, RMP would have a huge advantage over Priest and Druid teams because of the offensive dispels and control. Other than that, I think the comp will depend more on the opener than ever. My theory was one-dimensional, but it basically was setting up for PI + Burns on the first kidney and then going defensive. It could be effective, I didn't get a chance to test it though.
RMPally just seems like an overall stronger comp though.
Yeah, the way priests look (I wasn't on beta) RMP looks like it will have to be almost too aggressive to score kills since the priest won't be able to support the team for long. A Paladin would definitely be able to keep the game rolling...I'm just worried about the lack of a dispel/MD preventing a lot of the classic RMP kills.
