You cannot log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete."

That is the message that I'm getting while trying to delete a level 1 toon to make room for new characters. I haven't recently done any type of paid character customizations/changes etc, and certainly never on a level one character. The ingame GM's haven't been of any help, and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions out there?

Are you able to login to that toon? And have you tried to login before you delete it.
What have the GMs said? Seems like an issue they would solve very easily

Yeah, I cannot delete it, and I also cannot log into the character either. However I have since been in touch with another GM and they are having to escalate the issue pretty far, but it looks like it's going to be taken care of. Thank you for the reply!

transfered like 2 days ago i played on the toon for two days then got that message when i tried to log on to my hunter today and i go to the transfer screen and the rae change screen and they said complete..just trying to figure out how to fix it

I have the exact same problem with this very character. I decided i would race change to Worgen but then in the credit card part i screwed up some of the information and now my character is inligibe to have a race change and it won't let me log in. I've also read forums that say its on the top left corner and you have to customise the character but i dont see the sign. Also i tried to race change on a saturday morning and i was allowed to play on this character until now which is monday night, grrrr im so fustrated, can anybody help me?

If you're having this issue with a character that is level 10 or higher, then it usually means there is a pending paid service active on that character. In that situation, you can usually cancel the service yourself.

Log in to your Battle.net account on the website here and pull up your World of Warcraft information. On the bottom of that page are options for the different paid services: transfer, name, appearance, race and faction change. Click on those services and select the "History/Status" button. If you find a pending service for the affected character you can cancel it. That will let you play that character again.

i will try but up till about a week ago i have been use prepaid cards i just switch to a credit card thanks i will look into it
ok i have a race change on him how can i make it stop i have nothing in history/status

Yeah it happened to my druid, but I still wanna go Night Elf on my druid...

I transferred one of my toons to another realm and did a faction change. The credit card company said this payment was processed and finalized, however blizzard says it was rejected. The credit card company actually even gave me the authorization code for the payment but blizzards first response was, and I quote, " So to resolve this, I am going to reverse the paid service so you can log back into the character. At this point since payment was denied we can only reverse everything back to prior to when the service was purchased. Unfortunately all progress will be lost." (print screen saved)

Obviously as someone who was already playing and had leveled from 82 to almost 85 - I was very unhappy - I insisted this was a blizzard error since the CC company had obviously processed the payment and blizzard insisted it was the cc company's error.

After strenuously objecting to my toon being rolled back to the previous server/level/faction he said that I could contact blizzard billing support and could purchase pre-paid game time and apply it to my account/toon and therefore eliminating the need to roll the account back to its original server/level/faction. (print screen saved)

It took blizzard billing support a bit to unlock it but he was VERY nice and extremely helpful - He was able to apply the prepaid time I purchased and I was able to log back into my toon with no issue! :)

I can see the Orange clock with 'Pending' underneath it, but no cancel button please someone help me out
