Hey there, gang!
It's another terrific Tuesday in the internet neighborhood! I hope you all have a great day. ^_^ I was questing down in the Cape of Stranglethorn last night and I think I've found my favorite new quest chain: the one to deal with the Bloodsail Pirates. That was some pretty epic fun. Topic of the Day: We really need a topic on the day of Cataclysm's release? Shouldn't you be in-game? Nope, I'm stuck at work for the day and I still need to get with Ceren to see if we're going to bother picking up the expansion just yet anyway. We're both still leveling alts that we're having fun with, so it might not behoove us to pick anything up just yet. Plus, I keep hearing there's some god-awful huge download, which will take some figuring out (or a whole weekend) for us to download, if that's true. |

You aren't the only one.
Not really, I found it pretty quick and my system is pretty ancient. Still I suppose YMMV. |

I'm also at work today, though Dia and I did opt to get the expansion.
But leveling without her isn't as fun as with her. Plus day 1 is probably going to be overly crowded starting zones and general server instability. |
Yeah, I've heard the update isn't very big ~700MB, but even that is a challenge to download when you have a 375MB daily download cap from your ISP. I just hope it doesn't get any bigger and maybe we'll give it a shot this weekend. Until then, Ceren and I will just have to happily level alts, I think. |

I've found the sundering to be amazing when leveling alts. Actually reading the quest text makes it a far more enjoyable experience than to just 'kill 10 boars'. Only one problem, once you hit Outland it's still the same old boring thing. I've 4 characters in the 60s because I just can't bear to grind demon pigs and get squashed by the Fel Reaver again. Nagrand is like a time warp, whiny Garrosh and Saurfang the Younger are still there giving out the same old quests. It's enough to make a cow cry. I did notice something on my Sunwalker that I never did before. Garrosh has a pitiful 4k health while Saurfang Jr. has over 200k. I found that amusing. |
Oh yes, Ceren and I both have a couple of alts we've been playing through the new starter areas and some of them are quite fun. The new Redridge is awesome. The Bloodsail chain in the Cape of Stranglethorn is my favorite. Ceren's been laughing his fool head off over in the Burning Steppes. I hear you about Outlands, though. I have another alt that just hit 60 a couple of days ago and once I started doing those quests I was like, "Ugh... this is awful." It makes me wish there was Azeroth content from 60-80. XD Alas! |

His name was Dranosh. It means Heart of Draenor in Orcish.
Hi guys, I'm at work too. And hungry! Breakfast just didn't stick with me... We went to the local Gamestop around 9:30p last night and got our claim tickets. Also picked up the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I had pre-ordered. There was no one else in the store, except the manager, two employees, and two HOOTERS girls they'd apparently hired to hand wings to nerds. (Yes, I was handed wings). Chatted with the staff, and it's funny, when you are nice and treat them like people, they give you free stuff. Got a huge Assassin's Creed poster + a Cata poster. Also got three raffle tickets for the big cata pre-release poster. Didn't win, tho. So all this to-do, right? Poster give aways, Hooters girls, free food? Sounds like a huge release? They had 22 pre-orders. I was 3 of those. Let's hear it for not pre-ordering at the mall. The GF stayed up last night, was still plugging away through the quests. She was 82 when I got up this morning. For work. |

They need to save something for the next expansion! Outland will be made into a solid world again. |

It may say something about the period of my life I've entered when "two HOOTERS girls" get's scant attention from me, but my eyes perk up at reading "wings". (I do miss hooters restaurants for 3 reasons though: 1. Wings 2. $10 Crab Legs 3. Deep-fried Pickles |
Ceren took me to Hooters once, proclaiming that he was told they have the best wings anywhere. Let me tell you, this wings are nothing to write home about. The set I got were downright bland in comparison to wings I get at, say, Wing Stop, Wings n' Things or even Pizza Hut. Needless to say, the Hooters were missing from that Hooters, too. The restaurant did nothing to live up to its ostentatious reputation. Disappointed on all fronts. (*lolpun*) |
Amen. I even feel nauseous thinking about questing in Northrend now. Maybe after a few months of the new content, it'll be all fun and retro to go back to Outland and Northrend... I freakin' hope so! |

I've never been to Hooters. Though I am a bit of a wing aficionado so probably would be disappointed anyway. I've not met a chain that can even come close to a couple of the local places we have around here. Plus, chains tend to serve the wings with ranch and not blue cheese and I just can not support such nonsense.

I'm by no means a wings aficionado, but I have (had) particular preferences about how they were servered.
When I lived near a hooters, I was in the military, and was in uniform typically picking up my food on a lunch break, or on the way home. The fact that I could get breaded and fried wings, but have the sauce on side satisfied not only my stomach, but my need for a clean uniform free of accidents. |

My favorite wings are actually Lemon Pepper wings from Wing Stop. Ceren has managed to make a copycat of them at home, for vastly cheaper than buying them at a chain. So now we just buy a big bag of wings and he goes all fry-happy with the fryer for a night when we get in the mood for wings. He prefers his with Frank's Red Hot. :p |

Bah, wings are too much effort. Give me chicken strips.
YES. CHIKIN. TEH COW SEZ EET MOAR CHIKIN. You knew it was coming. |

Damn you!!! Too late, I've already got reservations to the 7th level of Bovine Hell. The Eternal Golden Corral All-You-Can-Eat Steak Buffet....you can guess who's the main course. |

The Cow does understand that buffalo wings aren't really from his cousins, the buffaloes? It's...chicken?
The spicy garlic sauce is my favorite, and during my last conversion in Louisiana, garlic wings + Abita Amber on draft = win. Anyway, the girls weren't the cream of the crop by any means. And once we overheard one of them say "I want that bling PS3 controller like Snooki got..." >.< |
