Do I need BOA to heal good as holy pally?

85 Draenei Death Knight
Hello, I wanted to make a holy paladin and start healing instances at level 15. Would this be ok to do without any BOA? Every holy paladin ive seen at low levels uses BOA. I havent really seen any good holy pally gear at low levels. I dont mind if the healing is challenging, I dont want easy street. I just dont want to cause wipes because of bad gear.

You will be fine there is plenty of pally gear. I think I started with a couple green pieces and the rest some crappy white gear.

Shouldn't be a problem. BoA gear makes it easier, but it isn't necessary.

Only beacuause you might not actually find any shoulder armor until around level 20+.

Some slots still seem to lack common gear at lower levels (Helms start out at around 25) but most of the instances are tuned so that you dont need them.

I haven't healed low level instances post-4.0, but if it's anything like pre-4.0, you could probably do it naked. Really, it's more about being willing to be the guy pushing the "heal" button at that point than having any great amount of skill or gear.

Recently started a priest and a pally to level healing. Remember your pally can wear any type of gear. If your not taking the hits, who cares if your wearing cloth at low levels. You won't get the Plate specialization till much later.

Wear cloth and leather healing gear until you hit 70. You'll be fine.
