Terrible thought process, I assume you don't heal, or I feel sorry for the people you heal.
I usually follow and agree with everything you have to say, but I found MG to be a staple talent.
I have no issues either, unfortunately I'm also insanely bored 95% of the time.

I spent the first few days of Cataclysm with my old LK spec and quickly realized that something was very wrong whenever we had to switch from me healing to a pally after we couldn't get past the 2nd to last boss on heroic deadmines. I was simply going OOM so much faster than the pally. I got frustrated and decided to figure out what was going wrong.
I went over to the Elitist Jerks druid forums and spent a lot of quality time there trying to figure out the issue. I then proceeded to completely change my spec, my healing spell rotation, and my glyphs.
Making those changes provided the world of difference that I needed to get the job done on heroic difficulty instances. I now have the large mana pool I need with the necessary reduced spell costs and I am using my spell procs of OoC appropriately. Let me give you an example of how large a difference this was...
pre-change: I was chugging water after every single trash pool b/c I was oom.
post-change: I exit out of 95% of trash pulls at around 80% mana or higher if I get a lot of lucky OoC procs.
I can't stress this enough for all you resto druids out there: Head over to the Elitist Jerks druid forums and take their advice. It will make your life a lot easier.
Why? Don't have a good answer? Oh, thats right it's because you're trolling. I do heal, never use regrowth outside of clearcasts in tree form, and it generally goes very well. If that's the design intention then I believe the spell needs to be redesigned.
Cast IS, 1 GCD for about the cost of 1 LB (so basically nothing) get 15s of improved haste every min and now you're free to use that OoC proc to cast a free healing touch and do some actual healing to someone who needs it. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

That could be the case, or you could be completely wrong. Sure if you are not in any danger and feel like you want that haste, I could see how you would want to use IS over regrowth. But I think you are referring to dungeons and heroics? In any of the normal raids (So far) that I have been involved in, especially Chimaeron, and you are in charge of 1 entire group, you have NO time to cast IS for that 15%, you use regrowth on 1 person and nourish the rest. If you use IS, someone is going to die. When you have no time to spare that extra GCD on a something that does not heal the person, you will find casting any damage spell will be a waste of your time. I do not want to be ignorant like you have been (Calling me a troll and saying I have no good answer), but by the looks of the character you are on at the moment, you have not yet experienced any real fight that requires you to think.
IS : 1355 Mana : 1 second cooldown : No heals : Procs 15% Buff: No benefit to your party in case of emergency (WHAT REGROWTH IS USED FOR)
Regrowth : 5935 Mana : 1.35 second cast (cooldown) : 7k Instant 2.5k over 3 seconds: Procs 15% Buff : Benefits your party in case of emergency (WHAT REGROWTH IS USED FOR)
Nourish : 1695 Mana : 1.96 second cast (cooldown) : 8k Heal
Rejuv : 4408 Mana : 1 second cooldown : 13k/10 seconds
So those are what I have as my stats roughly, some deviation from time to time with crits.
You : In case of emergency (WHAT REGROWTH IS FOR)
Use IS + Rejuv = (5763 Mana, Used 2 seconds) = Healed for 2k instantly and 10k roughly over 7.8 seconds and now have 13 seconds with 15% buff.
Use IS + Nourish = (3050 Mana, used 2.96 seconds) = Healed for 6k and now have 12 seconds with 15% buff.
Me : In case of emergency (WHAT REGROWTH IS FOR)
Use Regrowth + Nourish = (7630 Mana, Used 3.3 seconds ) = Healed for 16k instantly and 2.5k more over 3 seconds and now have 11 seconds with 15% buff.
The above is with no crits to either party. We will use the scenario of IS+N vs RG+N.
You are suggesting that you saving 4580 mana and healing for roughly 12.5k less than me in 3.3 seconds yet having about the same left over time on the 15% buff is better?
Does anyone else see the fault in his healing? Calculations could be subjected to change due to error as well as the above was taken from my spec/gear, which surpasses his (Based on his armory alone, he may have better gear on another resto druid.)

Druids? We get a 3 min cooldown for 20% We need way to actively get mana back during lulls in combatJust to clarify, hardly any shamans use that ability. We're just more efficient to begin with IMO. I'm not disagreeing that druids need to be changed, but I don't think it's an issue of being too weak so much as the current druid healing model is god-awful boring and very clunky.
I didn't realize your big heal (healing touch) was so weak though... 17k, really? I'm only 84 and I can hit well over 20k+ non-crit with a Greater Healing Wave, and I've crit as high as 46k! (shaman mastery + UE ftw).
That's all well and good but I'm just saying that in my experience Regrowth isn't healing for enough to be worth the cost, and I think a real emergency consists of someone taking a continuous amount of damage that will kill them if they are not healed. If I heal them with Regrowth it probably won't save them in such a situation because it just doesn't heal for enough (after all if they weren't going to immediately take more damage after I heal them then they wouldn't have needed an emergency heal in the first place)
Also, I apologize for calling you a troll. You attacked my healing and thought process without offering any explanation but you certainly proved you can back yourself up.
