Everyone and their brother here are complaining that healing "is broken" or that "it only works well when 4 other people play well."
This just in: healers should not have the ability to carry a bad group all by themselves without a significant gear advantage. Tell me, how often in wrath did you see a warlock roll up in a heroic and carry 4 other people, or a mage, or a rogue? That is because they did not. DPS have never been able to effect the amount of influence on a group as a tank or healer.
Now admittedly, we have a much tough job than a dps. Yet, the group dynamic has been balanced. We work harder within the confines of our role, but our net contribution to the group's success is much closer to the 20% it ought to be. (Now admittedly, I'd say we're still higher than that). Sure, you can't compensate for plenty of bad dps when you're doing all you can to keep your head above water. This is working as intended. The GROUP must play well to succeed. I don't care if you are God's gift to healing (which 90% of people seem to imagine themselves as) if the other 4 members are terrible, why should the group succeed?
Want your personal skill to directly and universally correlate to the outcome of a game? Try single player games. I hear the PS3 has some rocking new titles out this winter.
I'm a resto shaman, and the new healing paradigm works. Go hard or go home healers.
