I like having a progression thread just so people like you can post on their anonymous alts and QQ.
Regardless of what may or may not be happening with Faith at the moment IRL, I'm sure she won't mind somebody else taking the thread over, but it was much appreciated that she showed some initiative when nobody else did.
Like always the internet nerds will never be satisfied until their Omnitron kill is updated. Reminds me of Ulduar progression WHERE'S MY FLAME LEVIATHAN SERVER FIRST KILL YO. Nobody cares and none of this matters until somebody is 13/13 and the server is spammed with realm first, so chill out and don't be so mad. Congrats to everyone on the progression so far it's nice to see some competition =D
I'd given up on while ago. I wasn't even a big fan of these in WotLK either but sites like wowprogress were buggy due to no sure-fire way to track a guild vs. individuals, so it wasn't a totally reasonable thing to have a thread like this. With guild achievements however, that site is pretty on point. The only thing thats buggy about wowprogress now is 25 vs 10 tracking. (for example, it refuses to admit that evo has even stepped foot into bastion on 25).
If this thread were tailored to allow for human tracking of 25 man vs 10 man kills, i'd totally say it would be a viable thread again. But as it stands, its just a poorly regulated version of something a machine can do for us better. Missed posts and various human error, RL buggering down the author, guilds not participating... right now the guild listed in 5th place is actually in 9th? I give Faith a lot of credit for putting in the dates of individual boss kills and overall giving us a nice format and making the effort. The "new" progression thread makes me laugh even more as it clearly states "data taken from wowprogress.com." Rly? Why wouldn't I just go there then? I dunno. I've had this discussion with other evo officers before and we'll always take part, this is just my personal view.
TLDR- We need to either track 25s v. 10s, or else let the machines do it for us. My 2 cents.

The majority of challenging content is more difficult in the 10 player setting than 25, actually.
So its harder... and that's why everyone gets all their progression kills as 10 man? lol
I don't care. I'll just say you're right. In which case, this thread is dead imo.
This thread is for people in the whole community to post their kills and get noticed, for us to say GRATS, and share in the joy of the game that we waste our lives playing, and it's also for random nerds to post their hate qq for it not being updated because the person running it has a life and doesn't sit around with a browser open refreshing it every 10 mins... It's for jokes and laughs and fun, and something to read
If you want something more than that out of it you're going to be severely disappointed.
OR run it yourself so everyone can b&*$h at you about it. Ask anybody who's ever run one on any realm and they will tell you the same thing. Focus more on the fun and less on the boring nonsensical debates of nothingness. If you really care that much you scare me, and you should rethink where you are playing, this is Nordrassil.
Moo Robo just moo.
Also it looks like the RO person has taken the opportunity to take over the thread in Faiths' absence so make sure you LIKE that one to get this replaced, I can't wait to troll it from an alt when he goes out for an evening or takes a vacation. wait...

The main contrast in challenge is that 10 mans are tougher for a strict 10 man guild than 25s are for 25 man guilds. A 25 man guild doing 10s have the luxury of far more comp flexibility, as they should have the roster for any 25 man fight. 10 man guilds don't have such luxury.
Guilds have been doing 1 of 2 things since the dawn of azeroth:
1)Adapt for success
2)QQ until blizz fixes it
That's a great little excuse you have there for yourself, but just because you didn't choose path 1 doesn't mean your kills are more righteous or something because of your struggle against maintaining a flush roster.
TBH, you saying that some fights are harder on 10s and some are harder on 25s is more of an argument for tracking them separately then against it.
