Which healer to roll for raid healing?

90 Tauren Shaman
I know they are all viable, I just wanted to ask what you guys think the best raid healer is? By best I mean the one with the best arsenal of healing tools for a variety of situations, and which heals seem the coolest/most fun to you, and work well too. Mana regeneration abilities/talents are nice too.

Thanks a lot.

P.S. I am not asking which class you think I should play, so please don't respond with "we can't tell you which class to play, it's up to you."

disc priest

targetable group prayer of healing with guaranteed divine aegis and a glyph to put a hot on the group with bad ass cd's

Wow, that sounds nice as hell. I was told that disc doesn't work well for raid healing. Was I told wrong?

Roll which class you want to play most. Blizz has intentionally balanced the four healing classes to be equalivalent to eachother.

PoH spam is king for priest raid healing right now, whoever told you that disc isn't a raid healer is very wrong.

Priests will always have the fullest healing tool box as long as they have two healing trees.

Well, I like Holy priest, cause I'm a holy priest. But yes, we're very versatile and always will be.

Seems like everyone here is leaning towards priest. I will definitely look into priests. Anyone else want to throw their 2 cents in?

Priests are probably the most versatile overall, especially since you can get a different style of play by dual speccing rather than . From personal experience, I have a blast healing on my shaman, so it's worth checking out. Mana tide totem is a great tool and healing rain is a lot of fun too. Combining a talented buff from a shock and unleash elements then popping nature's swiftness to get an instant cast super-powerful healing rain for the price of two global cooldowns (barely longer than it would take me to cast the normal version at the moment) is ridiculously pleasing. I also enjoy my pally for the unexpected healing tools -- if a dps pulls aggro, you can taunt it off them and run it over to the tank. Preventing damage in creative ways is my favorite part of paladin healing.
