So Worgen folks.

Jasen's a fairly amiable guy. He doesn't brood and certainly doesn't only want to deal with other worgen - in fact he's mentioned in public that, due to the relative lack of other Gilnean druids (especially after the whole mess in Gilneas), he feels a bit more of a kinship with the night elves than anyone when it comes to certain things. And as a druid, being able to handle the curse only really convinced him that any other forms would be a piece of cake by comparison, so with help from the night elves he's gotten in touch with his animalistic side, but like any good druid, kept balance in mind and not given up his humanity. He tries not to be preachy to the more feral-acting worgen, but can't always resist no matter how many times he's met with rolling eyes or outright aggression.

I haven't really gotten around to RPing yet, I'm still trying to work out any kinks and problems with my backstory and whatnot. Main thing is that I'm pretty sure it won't go well with people. I've been seeing about going for a former Son of Arugal type thing (what with the Worgen Death Knights being from Shadowfang Keep and all, main reason I made my worgen a DK) but haven't been able to get it off the ground, so to speak.
No, I'm not going to be an always feral type worgen. Not only is that not exactly justifiable, I also know it doesn't go over well with everyone. I'm gonna go for a "noble savage" kind of thing, think Dinobot from Beast Wars. And of course, I'm obviously not going to be all "HEY LOOKIT ME, I'M A SON OF ARUGAL AND NOT A DAMN THING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT /godmod", I just really love the SFK worgen and their mysticism and otherwordlyness. Though that bit has been retconned into them being crazed Druids from ancient Azeroth or something. Hrm. |

I haven't gotten around to RPing yet. Still a little nervous about RP. This is my first time on an RP server. Pretty sure my character will be reviled and hated. I'm hoping that reaction will be IC, anyway, and not an OOC reaction to me playing it wrong. Alec Thourne is former Scourge through and through, and I've shamelessly borrowed quite a bit of his post-death personality from the Forsaken. (Hey, he was a nice guy when he was alive and not howling at the moon. Years locked up with Arugal and dying only to be brought back as a servant of the Lich King...His outlook on life is a tad skewed.) I'm fairly certain he's going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. Anyway, I hope it turns out okay.

Viensa hates DKs because she doesn't understand the difference between them and the Forsaken. And she doesn't really understand the difference between Forsaken and Scourge.
But that's IC. OOC I love good DKs. Don't worry if people ICly are like rarararar or not. If people can't separate IC and OOC, those aren't the kind of people you want to associate with in the long run. Don't get too discouraged if you run into derpy things - I'm sure you'll meet some cool people and make good RP connections. And starting WoW RP can be a bit intimidating at first, but don't worry. Sometimes it seems like people are extremely fast paced with their posts, but you'll get used to it quickly. The biggest tip I can give is to shrug off the bad stuff and keep on trucking - and when things get too out of hand, godmodey, or silly, or whatever? Just take your leave from the scene so you don't get stressed. |
