I am keeping this thread bumped. Please sticky this. The problem in this thread is not related to any of the stickies you currently have.

This is not a high latency thread.

This is not a cannot load into any character thread.

This is not a constant disconnects thread.

Please listen to us.

This is excruciating.

I can raid, but barely - after 2-3 restarts of WoW, I'm able to get into an instance. As long as I never release (I've become very good at choosing the best spot to die during a wipe), I can get rezzed with no issues. If we switch instances, luckily instance-to-instance summoning still works fine.

I've given up on arena. There's just no way to play it, since every single game results in a loss unless I manage to Alt-F4 WoW, restart it, and make it into the arena before the match is over.

Battlegrounds? I'll get kicked for being AFK (while I'm restarting WoW).

Instances? Kicked for being AFK (while I'm restarting WoW).

I am not sure if this is the same issue. however I can say with 100% certainty that the thread http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1406222523?page=1 is not my issue. Because I can log into my other characters. This didn't start til cataclysm. Usually after going through a few load screens like after wipes to heroic omnitron or arena. I will get stuck on the loading screen then I will have to alt+f4 the game then log in a character I have sitting in stormwind, log out of that character then log back in to my main. This is the only fix I have found. And it is not even a fix because if I am trying to Arena I get booted out of the arena. So I have basically completely quit doing arena because there seems to be no hope with this issue. This is basically taking a dump on my game experience. I have tried everything reintalling wow, windows, not running addons deleting cache, wtf, interface, disabling checksum, forcing full duplex and many other things etc etc. Nothing fixes this. I am also 100% positive this is on ur end Blizzard it is something with your servers or something you changed with Cataclysm as this never happened before cata. What is going on here? Other random things that happens are as follows. When I log back in after the long load I can run around and talk to people in game however I can't use any abilities, I log back in and I am in a different instance than my group, after the long load I don't log back in for a few hours and when I do my ping shoots up to like 8k. Hope this information helps and hope this is fixed soon....

I laughed, because I have started doing the exact same thing. :P No releasing = no chance of getting stuck on loading screen.

My boyfriend and I are having the exact same problems as the OP described. Gameplay is fine, until zoning in/out of BGs/raids/dungeons, where we promptly get stuck on the loading page (full blue bar). It happens around 50% of the time, and we never had ANY of these problems before Cataclysm. We use TWC out of Syracuse, NY. A friend who lives nearby and also uses TWC is reporting the same issues.

I really hope this issue is addressed. It's starting to get extremely annoying after a month of having to worry about getting stuck on the loading screens and having to restart the game.

My entire raid is having this issue atm and are not able to zone into BWD.

The description here is accurate, although I could swear the pause is much longer on this character than my others. All other game play is -normal- no unexpected or intermittent lag during regular game play. Other players tell me they can see my character standing there at the inside of the instance portal while I just see the art page, if I do bother to corpse run these days (2 loading screens..so this hang time twice) I get a split second of watching my party zip about at hyperspeed on my screen once I'm in.
This has been a progressively growing problem for the last 4 months, previously only experienced on the ICC loading screen until cata hit.

Adding my vote that this be addressed. Able to log onto all of my characters with no problems but getting into a heroic dungeon is hit or miss.

As a fellow Lincoln TW cable user only advice I can give is maybe start using a tunneling service ie smoothping, wowtunnels, etc. My fiance and I started using one this week and we haven't had a single loading screen freeze since and this is going on 3 days now doing multiple instances including many wipes :> When not using the tunnel service it'll freeze at 100% around 60% of the time I'd say if not worse when loading in to a dungeon or out of one.

This however is not an acceptable work around. I'm not willing to pay for a 3rd party fix for very long but will do so for at least this month, once our subs run out at the end of a month will be thinking about just throwing in the towel if it's not fixed by then.

But it's pretty obvious that it's something to do with the connection from TW to the Blizzard servers.

We both play on the suramar realm which is in LA.

My friend, my husband and I are all having this issue to varying degrees. Log in is just fine, as is gameplay. However, when zoning into dungeons (or occasionally arenas), we will hang up on the load screen and have to completely restart WoW and log back in to get back in the instance. It will happen anywhere between 20% of the time to 75% of the time. I've also noticed latency spikes after successfully zoning.

We all play on Moon Guard and live in KC (friend is located about 5 minutes away) and have the same ISP - Time Warner. We don't seem to have the issue when zoning into areas on our server.

Same issues described by most, TWC CNY, started with cata, playing less and less as a result of it
