I am organizing an event - Worgen only - to retake Gilneas as a cooperated people. This event will take as short as three weeks up to early May, depending on how much detail we go into it. We plan to work slowly from Keel Harbor into the rest of Gilneas, and will plan the Second Battle of Gilneas City with some Horde friends of mine if we collect enough people. I am leading the event by myself, but I will take second hands for advice. On the note, I am the only one who will have decisions in what happens, so come to me if you have any ideas.

Expand roleplay in the new beautiful environment of Gilneas, and bring those unfamiliar with the little nooks and crannies into exploration. Once retaken, it will be a sanctuary for the Alliance. I plan on keeping people to escort lower levels into the area who haven't seen the area, and show them the benefits of roleplay, new areas, and have a community of roleplayers that can band together under an un-guilded banner.

The planning of the invasion, in character, would take around two weeks. The times are:
Weekdays 4-10PM server time. Saturdays: 12-8PM server time.

I'm looking for experienced roleplayers who know the lore of Gilneas and its people. Reading the story of Greymane is most recommended. Please send in game mail to this character with a description of your character, how they are, and their base details. Or, if you wish to participate Horde side, please send some mail to Meck describing what you'd wish for.

We don't plan on player-versus-player content, as the levels could range from 20-85. The most player-versus-player content that could be offered is warring at the gates, or raids on villages, etc.

(Please note that I may not be able to catch up with the posts here, this is why I ask you mail my characters. If you have any questions, they CAN be answered, but it may not be immediate, depending on who is interested.)

It was planned, but the main area needed is being taken and it's crucial for the line I was working on.

then adapt, isn't that what roleplaying is about?

Retake the plague-infested ruins of Gilneas? Did you see Southshore? There's not much to take back. Not to mention the death toll from inhaling lingering plague fumes.

Gilneas doesn't look very..... plaguey on the inside, perhaps Sylvanas used the plague reserved for Gilneas on SFK?

Another area could be used, but with the amount of people that might've been involved.. There might not be enough spacing for everyone to get a fair share. I'm trying to think about everyone in this.

Yes well, back before there was a big empty zone like Gilneas we had to -share- the houses. Noone is going to be living inside them 24/7 (kudos if you are RPing in one spot that long). Even one house can be shared with multiple people (like a time share but less on set times and more on who's on at the moment).


edit: the city of Gilneas itself has plenty of spare places, and Greymane manor hasn't been taken but to be fair it seems kinda weird squatting in a lore characters home ((though someone could RP it as a different manor but it would count on all present to recognize that.))

Well, I just got a big burst of motivation! Round up the wolves, we're going hunting!

Gilneas doesn't look very..... plaguey on the inside, perhaps Sylvanas used the plague reserved for Gilneas on SFK?

Doesn't look it because of game mechanics which use the zone for leveling.

The event is HELLA opened. There's no issues anymore.

As the Horde want to use this as a staging area for war? I don't think they'd go overboard with the plague here. I mean, what good is having such a great strategic location if you can't occupy it due to the hazardous conditions?

While I would love to RP in Gilneas... the place seems to curse everyone that goes there. Most ideas concerning the zone fall flat on their faces due to the fact of the on-going war. Doesn't seem bright, not to me anyway, to try to take a territory that can't easily get reinforced? Especially seeing how the plague happy undead capitol is a stones throw to the north.

Those are just my thoughts on the matter.

No one really shared. Attempts to quickly shifted to either...
A) Griefing.
B) IC fights...
or, my favorite, C) "THIS IS MY HOUSE! I HAVE THE DEED!" 'SO DO I!'

I thought it was established way back it couldn't be done because lorewise that place is still a warzone.

ya thats what I thought, but the purpose of this event was to reclaim it, so i'm not sure
