Basically, it looks like dots are ticking for 8% less damage, and only does the same damage per tick with ISF.

Remember in 4.0.6 he have new ISF that increases spells damage by 8%. Every spell got damage increase with exception to:

Burning Embers - correct according to patch notes (damage reduction of Burning Embers)

Immolate and Corruption

And remember - as destro, Dóctor have 8% ISF buff on immolate corruption - take that 8% off and see what is non ISF buffed ticks/crits on immolate/corruption for him now.

We're looking at per tick damage, since with the loss of the haste buff, we obviously lose overall damage from the smaller number of ticks.

Anyone here have logs to support/refute this theory? Would especially be interested in logs from any Demo locks (imm/corr) and afflocks (corr).

Confirmed looking at logs from Magmaw pre 4.0.6 and post 4.0.6 , seriously hoping this is a bug because this is rather unsettling.

Not that I'm disputing this information (I've only played Destro in PvE since the patch since I knew for a fact going in that Demo and Aff were getting overnerfed and would wind up being god awful) but has anyone checked that that warlock hasn't dropped some spellpower in a trinket swap, gone unflasked for an easy boss, or any other such thing between the first log and the second?

There are other reasons than a stealth nerf why someone can lose damage; ruling them out makes the case more clear cut at the very least.

i actually gained gear between the last pull and now , and nope was prepotting and then potting again during heroism.

If you look at one of the responses in the Euro thread - a player suggests that gear changes might enter into it, but then he recants when he realizes that some gear changes seem to confirm the stealth nerf.

I'm personally going to just assume that its an unintended bug. Granted, if it was a stealth nerf they'll just claim it was either a bug or is working as intended and we're just not seeing the data right, so we probably will never know. Hopefully we'll get a blue response on this here soon though. Our damage already is not in the top tiers according to the new logs, losing even 8% on corruption is pretty bad.

Has anyone checked and confirmed that this is live on US servers?

If so, I'm not surprised. I think we're just getting nerfed by an amount equal to any ISF change every patch, even if the talent can't be reached by Aff and Demo. (And is still a pain for Destro)

I can confirm this on my log as well, since I didn't got any new gear during last or this week of raiding. Corruption/immolate are ticking the same while other spells are hitting more.

I'm still doing just find in 10m raids as Affliction. My dps has gone down, no doubt, but I'm not broken to the point where I can't at least continue raiding. Which is fortunate, the PTR had me scared.

Blizz will not comment period. We are warlocks and undeserving of the attention given to other classes. Pally's have a problem? Response and fix in hours! Someone datamines a priest change that upsets that community? Response (rebuttal) within hours.

If I should feel thankful I can raid at all I'm playing the wrong game and spending my time/money with the wrong MMO.

hey guise ISF was redesigned! +8% fire and shadow dmg!! o wait cant let your dots tick too hard! only shadow priests are allowed to do that! (VT> all other lock dots combined)

Will post comparison logs when I can get a chance. Even so, the gathered logs so far look fairly compelling.

Your assumption is that we were balanced when 4.0 first it.

It's been 3 days since the patch went live and the Devs are still doing nothing. In one night they turned a fun class to play into a pile of crap.

I found that afflication for me loss upto 4k DPS and Demo upto 3K DPS. WIth the other classes getting buffed, I don't see why they nerfed us; but yet again the main part of the game (PvE) get dictated to by the minor part (arenas).

On a good note I'll be saving $15 in the forth coming months.

I reviewed my logs and with no gear changes between fights, consistent relevant class buffs, and accounting for the 8% increase, I see some possible evidence that a nerf or bug is at play. I can't be certain, though.

Based on the several people who have reviewed logs I would appreciate a blue response. I'm fine with Blizzard balancing classes but the changes should be above the table or clearly labeled as a bug please.

Compared my logs for this week and last...

It is true that my immolation and corruption ticks for almost exactly same damage (maybe 0.2% difference) as last week... with new ISF. And my gear went UP.

A blue post response would be nice...

looking at my logs for this/last week my average corruption ticks went down and immolate stayed the same even though I gained stats from last week via the new meta + heroic tier chest token

I'm not entirely sure that any lock is doing enough single target dps right now regardless of spec/what we're being compared to. I've been looking over the WoL parses...and there are only a handful of locks except on Maloriak, and that fight is a complete gimmick for Demo. I decided to try it tonight. In the span of ~5 seconds my Immolation Aura alone had done over 500k damage, and combined with shadowflame, felstorm and hellfire, shot me up 1mil dps ahead of our Unholy DK, who was beating me before green phase. One gimmick fight however, of course, does not mean we're ok.
