It isn't quite what it was in LK and BC since practically all the top players are on tich or illidan now.

Animosity.
At the Throne of Judgment.
Despised Icon.
Disfigured Elegance. (I really dig this band.)
The Mars Volta. Not really heavy metal, but I find a lot of metal-heads like their sound.
Psyopus. If you don't mind whacky mathcore-y stuff. Better material is the "Odd Senses" album and "Our Puzzling Encounters Considered".
Salt the Wound. "Carnal Repercussions" was their better album imo, but "Aries" is good, too.
Sea of Treachery.

I have Animosity most of the others, except Disfigured Elegance.

I do enjoy The Mars Volta. I got to see them open for A Perfect Circle in Dallas a couple years ago.

BTW, you guys know that Between the Buried and Me has a new album coming out April 12th? I'm stoked.

Still fishing for some bands that I haven't listened to yet. <3

Killswitch Engage
Mudvayne
Puddle of Mudd

System of a Down (Serj Terikan's solo stuff is good)
Metallica
Smashing Pumpkins
Stone Temple Pilots
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Bullet for My Valentine

Dear Clickk,
-Seether? LOL! They're terrible.
-Chevelle's only good album was Wonder What's Next. All the others aren't that good.
-Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin makes me LOL.
-Rage Against the Machine is classic.
-Avenged Sevenfold is meeehhhh..
-Disturbed is too radio these days
-Five Finger Death Punch has lost their edge. War is the Answer is still a good album.
-Godsmack bites too much of Alice in Chain's style.
-10 Years is also meh.
-Killswitch Engage is repetitive.
-Mudvayne is tight
-Puddle of Mudd? Thumbs down.
-Shinedown? Thumbs down.
-Papa Roach? Sure, if I like to cut myself and throw myself a pity-party.
-System of a Down is decent.
-Metallica. I like their stuff. Not all of it, but some of it.
-Smashing Pumpkins is meeeehhh. Billy Corgan sounds like he sings with his nose plugged.
-Stone Temple Pilots is classic. Scott Weiland isn't dead yet though, honestly thought he would.
-Red Hot Chili Peppers. Great while they lasted.
-Bullet for My Valentine is fun to play guitar on(not guitar hero you talentless nerds), yet it's not quite what I'm looking for.

Thanks for trying though, man.

-I must disagree about Chevelle... imo Jars is the best one, and thats off Sci-Fi Crimes
-Sure there are 2 or 3 Disturbed songs on the radio all the time, but those aren't even the good ones. They have 3 solid albums.
-If you think SoaD is decent, you'd probably think his stuff after 2006 is better (Elect the Dead)
-Metallica is easily the most talented group of rock musicians in history.
-Forgot to mention Soundgarden/Audioslave, because Chris Cornell has an awesome voice.

Soundgarden, tight. Chris has an amazing voice in this band.
Audioslave? Chris Cornell grows a **@*%@ and stops screaming. I cried a little.

Kyeno. You know Isis opened for Tool a few times, right? (Seem them both live. I've seen Tool live about eight times :D)

And <3 Redhoof.

Whitemare, we have quite a bit in common music wise it seems. I was mostly chuckling at the amount of Mall Metal I was hearing recommended before your post.

Itching for metal? I'd highly recommend these bands. A taste of the vast differences in the metal genre.

Take a step on the thick and dirty side my friends.

Bible of the Devil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fpy1_SUa-0&feature=related)
Crowbar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNrzlfuaioo&feature=related)

More Death Metal influenced, Einherjer has a Pagan Theme to it.

Einherjer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPbYdo-l-Vc)
