I was about to pick up a Bloodied Arcanite Reaper for a new DPS character, when I noticed that the PvP 2-hander, the Reforged Truesilver Champion, actually gives significantly more strength. Perplexed, I checked to see where the Reaper was better, and found it higher in stamina, with a little bit of crit.

Does anyone know which is actually a better DPS weapon for PvE?

You won't feel the difference. I have 2 of each of the weapons you are talking about and I can't see a difference in my fury warrior.

I believe a bit later into the game (past like lvl 15-20) the Reaper gets more Damage / second

At any rate the reaper is better.

(even tho the pvp sword looks hawter)

Well guess i got roflstomped. lol.

Imo, the crit+0.2 slower swing > extra str.

With the axe, you can shout "ARCANITE REAPER, HOOOO!" all the time, but the sword is pretty slick and awesome looking.

If your alt is an orc or human, get the one that you get racial bonuses for. Otherwise, go with whatever looks cool to you.

This is always the only right answer.

Depending on the race of your class, there might also be an expertise bonus for using one or the other.

Is 1.68% crit really that much better than a bunch of strength?

Doesn't seem like a lot...

The axe also has more stamina which comes in handy at lower levels.

I would choose The AXE over the SWORD anyday but it is most a matter of opinion
