How many guild members are required

In order to get credit for a guild achiev, how many guildies need to be in a group for:
5 - man: 10 - man raid: 25 man raid: ? |

Edit: updated the number needed for 5-mans based on the general consensus.
My understanding is 80% with the exception of the old 40man raids and the BC raids. 40man - 10 25man - 20 10man - 8 5man - 3 The BC raids are treated as a 10 man so they need 8. Thrugg recommends: Before you pull the final, achievement awarding boss for each raid, you should definitely check that the guild icon is showing on the minimap. The same place where it usually shows a 5 when you are in a 5-man or a 5 with a skull when you are in a Heroic, or a 10 or 25 to show you what size raid you are in, now also shows a guild icon up there if you are in a valid guild group for that instance. If it isn't showing, don't pull yet, and work out why. |

I thought this requirement was changed in the last patch. I thought that for 5 mans, only 3 members where required. I could be wrong though.

It is 3 now, but you gain guild XP at a reduced rate (50%?). 4 guildies is 100%, 5 is 150%.

So, could 3 people in my guild go and solo some older dungeons for the achieves.. or would that not work sense there is only 3 people in the group?

Yes. My bf and I just dragged one of my alts through all the wrath dungeons and we got guild achievements for it with the three characters. We did have to have 10 people for all the classic raids. |

The numbers in the 2nd post currently are accurate.
The numbers in the 4th post are inaccurate. 3/5 guildies in a dungeon = 50% experience 4/5 guildies in a dungeon = 100% experience 5/5 guildies in a dungeon = 125% experience |

Do offline guild members count toward the member total, or do they have to be logged on and in the raid zone?

They have to be logged on, and in the party/raid. |

I know the answer to this for you, since we have been building guild achievements lately!
5 man = 3 guildies 10 man = 8 guildies 25 man = still only needed 8 guildies ( to our wonderful suprise!!) Good luck!! edit: and yes they must be in the party/raid group and present for it to count! They can't be in stormwind and you in say for ex: Magister's Terrace (sp?) and yes, they must be online and present to be accounted for. You can look at our most recent guild achievements to prove the statements here. We were shocked about the 25 man's only needing 8, but it worked!! :D |
