THIS MONTH IN NERFED DRAGON SOUL RAIDING by Briony Eddon
CAVERNS OF TIME, TANARIS - April 5, 2012 We are currently in the 15% increased damage buff phase with Dragon Soul raiding. More and more guilds are taking down Heroic versions of bosses, which means more loot for everyone involved. Congratulations to Pie Vendor [A] for killing every boss on Heroic mode with 10-men. Interestingly enough, Horde guilds have defeated 6 Heroic bosses with 25-men, while Alliance guilds have only defeated 2. However, Horde guilds have only defeated 3 Heroic bosses with 10-men, while Alliance guilds have defeated 30. I wonder if Shadowsong is unique in this breakdown or if we are just like every other server out there? INTRODUCTION:
- Welcome to the 10 & 25-man Shadowsong Raid Progression thread! - The purpose of this thread is to provide an extremely easy "at a glance" view of current tier 10 & 25-man raid progression. - When a new raiding tier is released or the current raiding tier is significantly nerfed, the current stats are frozen and a new list is started. POINTS: - All normal bosses are worth 1 point; except the final boss of each tiered instance who is worth 3. - All heroic bosses are worth 2 points; except the final boss of each tiered instance who is worth 5. - The +1, -3, --, etc. after the points denote the number of ranks a guild has gained or lost since last week. - Guilds who share the same number of points will be listed in alphabetical order after considering any server-first heroic kills. DOTS & ASTERICKS: - A small dot (.) denotes a kill on normal difficulty. - A larger asterick (*) denotes a kill on heroic difficulty. - Two large astericks (**) denote a server-first kill on heroic difficulty. KILL SUBMISSION: - You must be L85 and in the guild you are submitting a kill for. - 10-man, normal difficulty is assumed unless stated otherwise. - The rankings are updated roughly twice a week. 10-MAN VS. 25-MAN - Guilds will be listed on EITHER the 10-man list OR the 25-man list, not both. - 25-man kills will take priority over 10-man kills. GUILD DE-LISTING: - If you do not wish your guild to be listed, and you are the Guild Leader, reply to this thread and I will remove your guild during the next update. - If your guild merges with another guild, the guild which loses the name in the merger will be removed. - If your guild stops raiding (i.e. you cannot form a 10-man guild raid on a weekly basis), it may be removed from the list. If you are listing only 25 man guilds, you probably should de-list pie vendor. We are only interested in doing progression in 10s. If we do raid in 25s it will probably likely just to do things on farm or because we're bored or on alts. thank you! :)
Now... if anyone wants to start 10s thread then totally list us :) |

- <Pie Vendor> removed from list. (Yueying)Note: I will update the list daily until we are completely up-to-date, then I will move to weekly updates. Question: One of the issues we had with the old Raid Progression threads was determining when to remove guilds from the list, if at all. My proposal is to remove guilds from the list who have not posted a new 25-man kill in 30 days time. New could be Nefarian for the first time, or Magmaw on Heroic-mode for the first time. Thoughts? |

Don't unless the guild doesn't wish to be listed (Breaks accuracy though), or the guild disbands or merges into a different name. Example: Envious + Icon = Icon. Remove Envious from list, as it's no longer it's own guild. My proposal is to remove guilds from the list who have not posted a new 25-man kill in 30 days time. New could be Nefarian for the first time, or Magmaw on Heroic-mode for the first time. Thoughts? No. It will destroy accuracy and such. Example: Icon was working more than a month on Heroic Lichking 25man in Wrath. 30 days = 4 raid weeks. Took most guilds much longer to down him, with your idea, Icon would have been removed due to 'Inactivity' and other guilds would be bumped higher, despite not actually being as progressed. (I only used Icon as an example as I know these examples firsthand) |

If I were to make a separate 10-man progression list (not integrated with the 25-man list, but listed right below the 25-man list), would the community be interested? I have a feeling that updates are going to be few and far between for the 25-man list, and as it turns out I do check the Realm Forums at least once a day.
If there's enough activity, I could promise Tuesday and Friday updates at the very least with the possibility of daily updates as long as everyone is calm, cool, and collected about the rankings. Thoughts? |

If you're crazy enough to do it ( i think so and approve, the history of Artifice in the recruitment post, very nice) then do so! If we have a couple bad apples turning these threads into pissing contests and pages of trolling, us community folk can deal with them now :)

Pie Vendor has cleared all 10 man normal content with Nef being our last kill as of Feb 23rd.
