So now that DKs have gotten a combat rez, can you pretty please fix Soulstones like you said you would? Ie. allow them to be cast on a dead target for an instant rez option? You said you were going to, and at least part of the code got put in (until the hotfix a month or so ago, you could cast SS on a dead target, it just didn't do anything), so it shouldn't be too much of a step to enable the behavior. With Soulstone on the same raid combat counter as Rebirth and now Raise Ally (but somehow Reincarnation isn't on that shared counter, which boggles me), I find myself basically never using it anymore, particularly since it still occasionally bugs and counts us as having used a combat rez even though we haven't just because a Soulstone is active on someone.
Pretty please? I'd rather have it as a combat rez than as a useless spell. |

oh hai Dae. Funny seeing u here.
Edit* I approve of this message. The fact that DK's are getting a viable combat rez over locks when Blizz said they wanted to fix SS ages ago is kind of ridonkulous. Just sayin... |

I dont understand why it still counts against the battlerez limit when it can't be used as a battlerez. Shamans were exempt from the battlerez count with Ankh, Soul stone should too if they won't let it be used on dead players. IF we have to be psychic to use the ability, we should at least be rewarded with an extra rez if we guess right.

No if they made it like BRez it would "make the spell a lot less cool" ;)
You need to L2BP, learn to be psychic. Most warlocks should have this ability from being hit on the head and stunlocked to death for so long. I do have to say it feels like a bit of a slap to do this before SS. |

Actually, this makes a lot of sense. |

Yeah, I agree. If they intend on keeping ss the way it is now it makes NO sense for it to count against the brez limit. SS is always going to be inferior to brez. If they do intend to do what they promised and make it a brez then it makes sense for it to count. But not as it is now. I do find it funny that they are suddenly giving brez to DKs when they promised us a proper brez ages ago and still haven't done it. |

Our plan is still to let Soulstones be used on dead targets, effectively giving warlocks a combat resurrection as well. Unlike the death knight one, which was a relatively straight forward change, the warlock one requires new code. We still plan on making this change for 4.1, but we will keep you updated.
Having lots of unique and powerful abilities is not always compatible with having 10-player raids. We don’t think the smaller raid needs every possible buff or defensive ability to be successful, but we were convinced that the combat rez made groups without a druid at a significant disadvantage. It’s often subjective as to what constitutes mandatory raid tools. In our minds, combat rez has become one. |
