Our guild is a little unusual in the sense we’re not focused on what you, the player, want to do but rather who you want to accomplish those feats with. We’re a community-based guild as opposed to a guild with singular focus (PvE or PvP). We like to hang out and enjoy playing WoW together. We have groups that do PvP – Arenas, RBGs and regular Battlegrounds. In PvE we have groups that focus on Cata Dungeon Heroic Achievements and going back and grabbing older content achievements too. We do Cataclysm 10 man raids as well—our raid progression could be better but at least we tend to enjoy beating our heads against the wall.
For our RBGs we prefer 2.5k+ resilience and for our PvE content we ask you please show up to raids in very close to 346 level gear or better with food and flask that (you can probably find a guildie to make or help you with mats). If you want a hardcore guild or are thinking about joining for perks we are not the right guild for you. Remember the Earthbound is about enjoying time played. Sometimes we’ll choose to enter PvP or PvE with a sub-optimal comp because that’s what is available. We’re able to do that because we all generally get along and that seems to be a hard thing to find in WoW. WoW seems to break down between this hardcore and casual player base—this is largely a false dichotomy. We like to make progress but we’re not going to complain when sometimes players make mistakes, it happens. Fix it and move on. The ranks in Earthbound are designed to better facilitate community. Mute monk – lowest rank. If someone gets too rowdy they lose guild chat privileges. Initiate the defacto rank for all new members. Member – after an existing member agrees to sponsor the initiate and the initiate successfully fills out the application on the guild website—it’s a brain check—this rank is awarded. The primary difference is to differentiate those who have put the time in to join the guild. There isn’t a preference for clearing content between members and initiates although it seems more members recruit other players in guild to PvP or run heroics. In addition, to obtain Member status an applicant has to be sponsored by another guild member who has Member status or higher. This has the effect of letting the guild choose who to let in, the GM steps in if an app isn’t up to par (missing information or if it’s being blown off by the applicant), other than that our guild growth is member driven. The GM has only sponsored 4 people since the guild’s inception. We generally have players on at all times during the day, including off hours from midnight to 10am (these times it gets down to about 10 players). Currently looking for more CCs for PvP, specifically RBGs, all our welcome though. In addition, for PvE content, we’re looking for reliable, level-headed players. We have tanks, healers and DPS but having more isn't a bad thing. We use Mumble for our communication service, it is required for RBGs, Raids, and some of the achievement runs. Mumble is similar to Vent and is also free. Some of the big perks are lower voice lag and a built-in overlay. If you’re interested feel free to speak to Genk, Ewoks, Kaliy or Izark in game or visit the website. I have to bump ya. From what I have seen on the other side of things this is a good outfit to get in with. If I was horde they would be my choice.

Thank you!

Regarding PvE content, we're slowly getting into the raiding scene; only in the past month have we set up a raid time and organized groups, so we aren't on the cutting edge for that content, but it is happening each week. We down BH no problem each week, and we're on Al'Akir in Throne of 4 Winds. BWD is next on the list and a group will be tackling Magmaw this weekend.
