High Security Risk

80 Night Elf Mage
2010
When I try to login to WoW, I am being prompted to restart WoW in order to close the app and start downloading the patch. The patch starts to download. However, Norton then states that the file "wow-4.0.1.2210-enus-tools-downloader.exe" is acting suspiciously on my computer and automatically removes it. The security risk shows as high. Any suggestions?

I have included the log:

I believe it's a bug. The file is now gone. It's no longer in my folder.

Odd?

Maybe everything will work once they are done updating.

This works - the underlying issue is determining if this is in fact something Blizzard did that just got caught by accident, or if (heaven forbid) our antivirus might be working for once.

Yes.. Kill Norton. It's obviously an error on the part of your AV software.

How do you turn it off?

Seeing as how the current version of WoW is 4.0.6, the downloading of 4.0.1 is obviously an error on Blizzard's part.

Double click on norton antivirus. On the screen in brings up, look to your right and find "SONAR protection" Click it to the off area, then patch. Then you can go back into it and turn it back on.
