Stop thinking just because someone rents an account (remember you do not own ANYTHING on or in this game) does not mean they should cater to the whims of people that are to stubborn to switch servers if they want a higher population.

Kids these days with their sense of entitlement...

Its not a sense of entitlement, its a sense of equality. The options they offer to change your situation are absurd. 25$/char, 50$/char if you want to play alliance on another server, or 4days/played worth of man hours/char . . . . Blizz seriously needs to offer something else. Its impossible to know what qualities on an MMO server are important to you, until you play an MMO. Its impossible to know how a server is going to be at max level until you are at max level. Its impossible to be sure your friends aren't all going to quit a month after making their account. You should not be penalized for any of these things.

I think something like 2 free transfers per continuous year of subscription would be a great solution. The transfers wouldn't rollover, and you would only have a week to use them. Blizz wouldn't lose much money, as a lot of the people considering a transfer would let their account run an extra couple months instead of getting away from the game.

If a player is considering terminating their subscription over being forced to pay for a transfer then I hope they quit playing and never come back.

Every so often this type of thread comes up again. And the same arguments are put forth on both sides. To sum up
1) Yes BWL is massively unbalanced in population
2) No Blizzard needs to do nothing about it
a) Everything can be done by you if you are willing to pay/reroll
3) Some of us like it here and won't leave even knowing what that means.

Regarding 2, I think a significant population imbalance on a PvP server and a low realm population can negatively affect a player's experience.

I'd like to think Blizzard's WoW development team is at least a little concerned about a player's experience within the game. I understand there are a lot of factors that can potentially negatively affect a player's experience, and I think the development team members are probably trying to address them as they can.

I'm hoping the team views PvP server population imbalances and low realm populations as negative factors for most players that experience those conditions, and I hope they give a bit of priority towards implementing a solution that goes a step farther than cross-realm battlegrounds and dungeons for players who roll on a "medium" or "high" realm and who don't have direct control over the population changes a realm undergoes.

A larger portion of Blizzard's audience is on the Medium or High realms. I think they do care about their customers, but they can't focus on what will please a small number of them when there are issues effecting a larger number.

Why don't they just eliminate the different servers completely and run one massive realm, oh wait, infrastructure probably couldn't support everyone on one realm. There is no easy happy solution to the problem that has been occuring. I've been on the realm since vanilla (when the server was known for being good at pvp), came here with some friends, have stuck around even when they left because of the people I met here. They have since returned.

People have been trying to get their(Blizzard's) attention about everything that has been going on, on the severe faction imbalance realms, but honestly I fear they aren't even reading realm forums. And it never gets their attention on other forums. We should just let the subject drop and accept who and where we are.

We are Blackwing Lair, we will always have the past to live with us, kinda like the people of Rome.

Has anyone seen that commercial about not saying the word gay? Stupid. Not like im going to cry if someone says something is so straight. Or so white or so...w/e. Everything gets made fun of. Get over it and joke back. I could slap that woman. Gays dont deserve special not allowed to be made fun of rights. Dont turn gay into another "N" word.

This is another one of "those" threads where people are worried about the server population when this server has already died and gone to heaven ages ago. That's like worrying about the population of Earth after an apocalypse.

The people remaining on this server are the ones who enjoy being the biggest fish in the small pond like me or the ones that are just to bad to transfer to another server and make something of themselves in this game. Also the final option, the 80% of the server that are casuals and log on 2-3 times a week for maybe 3 hours and in that time do daily quests... fun stuff there.

BWL finally died at the start of s7.
(s7 = season 7, as in arena season 7, for the casuals that don't know what arena is)

Everyone left that server two expansions ago, you should too. Ive never seen the org auction house with less than 100 people in it here on blackrock.

BC...back when missbish was still posting her pictures and info in trade hoping for man to sweep her and her four kids off their feet.

Poor Steelygar.

The server died after I beat everyone in a duel. They rage quit to different servers.

Incorrect Missbish, there was still a lot of life left on the server at the beginning of WOTLK... as in people were still gladiator / achieving substantially high ratings.

The server officially died when the fun of Durotar was gone.

Your all wrong

When frater was the top horde guild this server was dead, think about it

How many guilds died to make them #1? (at least on horde side)
