The Seven Kingdoms is opening up applications to join our guild!
We are a casual guild that spends a good deal of its time raiding. We aren't exactly "top notch" but we are shall we say "above average" (We used to be mediocre but we upgraded during WotLK. Didn't everyone?) We don't have requirements for attendance, we throw things together with whoever is online at the scheduled time. We are active every night of the week, saving Thursdays and Sundays for non-progression events. It slows us down but it keeps things fun. We have a sufficiently solid core to stay fairly current by Farstriders standards.(1/7H Firelands) The fact is right now an extra member or two might come in handy. We've run 10 mans with 5 shamans successfully. We're not picky on class. If you know your stuff you'll get to run progression. There's no waiting period or initiation time. If your talents are of a more "casual" level we expect you to know this, accept it and happily participate in the many other events we have on our schedule (non-progression and old school raids, rated bgs, etc.)
The Seven Kingdoms has been a guild on Farstriders for very close to 3 years now. For the most part we've limited recruitment to a "friends and family" policy, never openly recruiting in trade and rarely here on the forums. We run 10 and 25 man raids completely in house. For these reasons our contact with the rest of Farstriders has been limited to the occasional trade chat rant by certain members of our guild. So be it. We are fiercely loyal to our members, that's a fact no one can deny. Our expectation is that you be equally loyal in return.
I'd love to paint a pristine snowy white picture of an idyllic guild setting with no kids, no drama, no jackasses but lets be honest...
Every once in a while in a large guild like ours people get angry, drunk, stoned, overcome by RL angst, frustrated by wiping on a new boss, pissed that they didn't win the loot they wanted. Stuff happens and sometimes when it happens people cause drama, act like morons, stir up trouble. I've seen plenty of posts for "drama free" guilds. It reminds me of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. Drama free does not exist. What we consider ourselves here in T7K is a "drama dealt with" guild. When someones kid joins the guild and acts out we deal with it. When a member causes trouble we deal with it. When there is a dispute over something in game we deal with it. Quickly and with open communication. When its done, its done. We move forward and we rarely look back.
On the topic of communication, in our guild chat and vent channels communication is often rife with horrifying things such as *gasp* swear words, sarcasm and off-colour humour. Please be aware.
If you are the kind of person who keeps things bottled up inside, whispers behind peoples backs or can't face up to conflict when it happens, if you are overly sensitive or easily have your feelings hurt, if loot or personal goals come before your guildmates then we are likely not a good fit for you.
If you believe you would enjoy playing a game for fun with a closeknit group of friends, if you think you can handle us or you dare us to take you on then register for the forums at www.thesevenkingdoms.com. We'll activate your account within 24 hours and you can post an application at that time. You can also make contact with an officer in game to speed the process along.
(Edited to update progress, etc.)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you have your silly improperly scheduled American Thanksgiving, SWTOR beta calling your name and Christmas shopping to worry about. These distractions are like girls in bikinis at the beach... very distracting, but in the end you know you're going home to your one true love...
Come play some WoW with us!!
