Commonly Reported Issues That Are Not Bugs.
There are many issues that are repeatedly reported on these forums to Blizzard that are not considered bugs and should not be posted here in this forum. Please check this list before making a new post in this forum. Many issues that appear to be bugs are actually intended functionality or should be reported in other places. 1. The Mobile Armory does not ask for my Authenticator when I log in. 2. The Mobile Auction House tells me I'm in game when I'm not. 3. I can't whisper anyone on my friends or RealID friends lists with Remote Guild Chat. 4. I just left my guild, but Remote Guild Chat still shows me as a member of that guild. 5. The Character Profile for my sub-level 10 character says my character can't be found. 6. Remote Guild Chat does not display any message when guild members earn an achievement. 7. There aren't any timestamps in Remote Guild Chat. 8. I can't see messages sent by my in-game character on Remote Guild Chat when logged into Remote Guild Chat with the same character. 9. I can't view item links in Remote Guild Chat. 10. Multitasking out of the Remote Guild Chat app immediately logs me off. 11. When I'm in-game, I can't see mobile guild chat messages, but everyone else can. 12. My characters don't show up on the Armory, and I can't use the Auction House, Guild Chat, or Guild modules either. |

1. The Mobile Armory does not ask for my Authenticator when I log in.
The Mobile Armory should not ask you for your Authenticator code when using any area of the app with the exception of certain areas of the Remote Auction House module. Rest assured that our number one goal is to provide outstanding quality, convenience, and security for all of our users. 2. The Mobile Auction House tells me I'm in game when I'm not. In order to prevent potential exploits, players are intentionally prevented from using the Remote Auction House while simultaneously logged into the game. It may take anywhere from a few seconds up to 1 minute for the app to recognize that you have logged out of the game or vice versa. 3. I can't whisper anyone on my friends or RealID friends lists with Remote Guild Chat. Friends list chatting is not supported by the Remote Guild Chat module at this time. 4. I just left my guild, but Remote Guild Chat still shows me as a member of that guild. Some types of character data are not instantaneously updated in the Mobile Armory application. In some cases it may take up to a day before you see changes such as these reflected on your mobile application. If you still feel there's a potential issue with the updating process, then please report your findings on this forum or via e-mail at wowarmory@blizzard.com 5. The Character Profile for my sub-level 10 character says my character can't be found. Character data for characters under level 10 is intentionally not stored by the Armory servers. Once your character is level 10 or higher, you should be able to access that character's Character Profile without issue (keep in mind #4 above). NOTE: Characters under level 10 are able to use WoW Remote services (Remote Auction House and Remote Guild Chat). 6. Remote Guild Chat does not display any message when guild members earn an achievement. Due to certain issues discovered before the public launch of Remote Guild Chat, these types of server messages were intentionally omitted from the current live version of Remote Guild Chat. 7. There aren't any timestamps in Remote Guild Chat. Timestamps exist, but they only appear if you have had no chat activity on your app for a period of 15 minutes or more. If 15+ minutes have gone by without any chat showing up in your chat channel from any player (whether that's a whisper channel or the main guild chat channel), then the next message that appears in that channel will have a timestamp above it. 8. I can't see messages sent by my in-game character on Remote Guild Chat when logged into Remote Guild Chat with the same character. This is intended functionality to limit unnecessary messages crowding up the display of the mobile chat channel. Note that the in-game chat server does handle this case differently than the mobile client (i.e. it shows your same character's mobile messages on the in-game chat). 9. I can't view item links in Remote Guild Chat. Like achievement links, item links are not supported in the current live version of Remote Guild Chat. 10. Multitasking out of the Remote Guild Chat app immediately logs me off. Whenever you receive a call, a text, idle the phone, or multitask out of the app without manually clicking on the "Online/Offline" button in the top left corner, your connection to the chat server is severed, which is why you see yourself "signing in again" when you return to the app. However, your character is still able to receive messages from other players! Your character is set to an "Away" status, and any guild chat or whisper messages sent while your player is away will be played back to you when you return to the app as long as you return within 30 minutes. If you do not return within 30 minutes, then your character is disconnected and cannot receive any more messages. |

11. When I'm in-game, I can't see mobile guild chat messages, but everyone else can.
This is most likely due to a chat add-on such as Prat. Once you disable any chat add-ons you may be using, you will see mobile guild chat messages properly. Note that we do not support 3rd party add-ons. Any bugs caused by these add-ons must be fixed by their developers. 12. My characters don't show up on the Armory, and I can't use the Auction House, Guild Chat, or Guild modules either. Character data takes time to propagate to the servers after it has been created. This time could take anywhere from half an hour to 3 days. In rare cases it may taken even longer. If your character is not yet appearing in the Mobile Armory, give it some time and it should show up within a few days at most. Additionally, until your character shows up, you will not be able to use associated Mobile Armory modules (Guild Chat, Guild, Auction House) if you have no characters available at all to set as your main character. Note that this data transmission is different than that of your character's gear, which should update instantly after you log the character out. |
