Ghost Stories needs to to come out now. Jim is torturing people, making us wait. I WAITED UNTIL APRIL JIM. I WANTS MY NEW BOOK.

Lol. I comfort myself with the fact that when it finally comes out it will be even better and won't have some gimicky way of him getting out of the trouble he's in right now (though that's probably wishful thinking:P).

I want Ghost Story NOW. Changes ended in what is easily the most evil cliffhanger in literature history.

Here, here. Dresden's one of my favorite book series and after getting through Changes, I need to read Ghost Story.

I agree great series. That's the one downfall with falling in love with an author or series you're always waiting for the next one.

So true Jililxx. I remember when I picked up Storm Front. I read it that afternoon and evening and had to wait the year for Fool Moon, and from then on. O.O

I have to admit that after only reading Storm Front The TV show seems like it was better. I have never before said such a thing about any show or movie based on books, but there it is. From what I hear it gets better and Storm Front was not all that great, (even in the TV show it was bumped from being the pilot) So I do reserve judgment on the rest of the series that I have not yet read.

Straasha - They do indeed get better with every book. However, Jim's work is not everyones' cup of ale. I love them, my wife couldn't get past Storm Front. It is different tastes that make living so much fun. :D

Did you read Side Jobs? It had some good additional shorts in it.

AKK!!! Neth! No, I still have to add that one to my collection. I do have Mean Streets, which has a Harry short in it.

Yeah, I liked Storm Front, but it's clearly an early effort. It picks up and gets even better quickly. The third book in the series, Grave Peril, is one of my favorites along with Dead Beat.

I did! I liked most of them, some better than others obviously. I enjoyed The Warrior a lot, and particularly loved Aftermath. The chance to see Murphy getting to be a ninja was very, very gratifying. I have a thing for seeing pure mortals go up against supernatural foes waaaay beyond them and, through training, discipline, and preparation, emerge victorious.

My favorite series in a long, long time.

I feel obligated to link the TV tropes pages on it for a compilation of some of the most amazing moments from the series. (Spoilers, of course)

I mean, I've read the series plenty of times myself, but just reading through these gets me quite a bit of enjoyment as well.

Yeah I've read side jobs too... I love the short stories in there... and it gives a nice insight into the rest of the characters.

The one focusing on Thomas though was probably my least favourite. Dunno why though.

Still I agree.. ghost story needs to be out now ..

I love this series, and Jim as an author. I actually met him with Codex Alera, which was also an amazing series with a very unique view on magic.

After reading the teaser chapter on Jim's site, finding out the release for Ghost Stories was pushed back was pure torture for me, but I've been surviving by re-reading some of my favorites in the series as well as Patrick Rothfuss's recent release of A Wise Man's Fear.
