But something else that you should be doing is fixing your computer. A four minute loading screen is not good. You should probably defrag and scan your hard drive for any malware.

Was thinking this too.

It doesn't reset in 20 hours? I never know when mine resets, some addon sends me a little reminder (Alchemy will be ready for Vixie in 30 minutes - Altoholic, maybe).

Missing a day or two...meh.

No - it's one per day now. If you do it at noon, your cd is 12 hours. If you do it at 8pm, your cd is four hours.

when did midnight stop being the middle of the night?

I believe it was right around the time the lightbulb became popular.

Artificial light has no bearing on midnight being roughly equi-distant from dusk and dawn.

If the cooldown reset were at 3 server time, along with the dailies, then you know what would happen? We'd see this exact same thread made, with every instance of 23:xx changed to 2:xx. While you can ask Blizzard to normalize times, this problem has a much simpler solution in yourself; don't leave this stuff for the last minute.

Except that if they were synced with the daily resets the counterpoint would be "Everything resets at the same time to reduce confusion" instead of "yeah, it can be a pain in the ass remembering when all the different things reset."

If only there was a reminder in big red letters that tells you when it resets. Maybe even right in the recipe itself. That would be just spiffy.

3am server resets

12am profession cd's reset

so not difficult.

9 or 10 am heroic resets, holiday events and call to arms weekends changeover at 12am. The current state doesn't have to be extraordinarily difficult for another option to be easier and/or make more sense.

anyone else find it kind of funny that this guy is complaining he missed something after he had a 24 hour time frame within which to do it?

Sure losing out on a couple of hundred gold sucks, but its not the end of the world.

Also, to mirror what others have said, fix your comp if you have a 4 min loading screen. that seems to be the major issue to this by far

Just do it first thing in the morning, rather than right before midnight (or right after midnight).

That way you're so far away from the time it doesn't matter.
