Other: low, but exceptional applicants will still be considered.
Persons applying should have exceptional situational awareness and be able to demonstrate exceptional performance in their raid roles. We prefer people with experience and demonstrated history of success on hard mode fights, but we will consider exceptional applicants who may not have progressed as far as we have.
Addicted of Eonar is a small, cohesive raiding guild that is comprised of a core of raiders who have been together through most of BC and some of whom have been together since vanilla WoW. That core cleared through Hyjal and BT pre-nerf and was 1/6 in SWP before suspending raiding in anticipation of WotLK. After reforming as Addicted in WotLK, we beat all pre-3.1 content, including both 10- and 25-man OS3D. We obtained Glory of the Raider and all achievements for Heroic Glory of the Raider except the Immortal (hence our reason for looking for people not prone to dying).
In Ulduar, our primary focus was on beating hardmode fights after we took down Yogg. On a limited raid schedule, we beat five hard modes in Ulduar 25 (FL, XT, Steelbreaker, Hodir, and Thorim) before the release of 3.2. We have since killed the remaining hard modes and earned our 25 man drakes. In ToGC, we killed Anub and earned A Tribute to Skill.
We killed Lich King in ICC25 well going 11/12 on HM.
In addition to our 25-man progression, we have active 10-man groups that run on off nights. Our first group earned Glory of the Raider, Glory of the Ulduar Raider, and A Tribute to Insanity, each before new content was released. Also completed 12/12 hard modes in ICC 10 and RS 10 heroic, both pre-4.0.
That being said, we are not and will never be a 4+ night a week guild. We have traditionally raided and continue to raid 25-man raids only two nights a week. This limited schedule has always meant that we have to raid smarter, not harder. We do not generally have server first kills (although we have from time to time), but we tend to make our first kills in significantly less attempts than other guilds. Because we raid “less,” we keep a lean roster so that people get adequate play time.
Please keep in mind, we are looking for experienced raiders who know their class, have done the fights (including completing hard-mode fights), and have situational awareness. If you die a lot and don‘t know why, this is not the place for you.
