Topic Strength Polearms
Not much choice? Try being a tank that needs 1h weps mate... I get one wep per teir where as my DK OT has now gotten his 2nd wep from this teir (crafted -> random off the 4 bosses) and he is now going to get the bloody one off rag.
so tl;dr roll a 1h tank first and then you have the right to cry over weapons.

-Classes in Cata-
Classes that can use agil Polearms in cata, 2. Hunt, Druid.
Classes that can use str Polearms in cata, 3. War, DK, Pal.
-Specs in Cata-
Specs that can use agil Polearms in cata, 4. All Hunter specs, 1 Druid Spec(5 if you count Feral DPS and Tank as separate specs.)
Specs that can use str Polearms in Cata, 5. Arms, all DK specs, Ret.
-Classes in MoP-
Classes that can use agil Polearms in MoP, 2. Druid, Monk.
Classes that can use str Polearms in MoP, 3. War, DK, Pal.
-Specs in MoP-
Specs that can use agil Polearms in MoP, 3-4. Brewmaster, Windwalker, (Unless it is a Dual Wield spec) Guardian, Feral.
Specs that can use str Polearms in MoP, 5. Arms, all DK specs, Ret.
So I have to wonder where my Str Polearms are when there are more classes that can use them then Agil ones. :P

Yah. Polearms were quite deadly...vs cavalry. They were very good for killing horses.
Lolwut?! Hollywood warfare has struck again!
Poleaxes regulated swords/axes/maces to secondary weapons.
Poleaxes were the first non-specialized weapon with armor penetration.
Poleaxes are why most of Europe signed treaties to NOT employ Swiss Mercenaries. They were infamous for killing a lot of haughty nobility with the commoners Poleaxe.
No other weapon is more versatile, cheap to make, and easy to could be mass produce as a Poleaxe.
Oh, and Archers counter everyone not in late 17th century plate armor (I.E. Paladins).
I miss strength polearms so much. If hunters are losing them then only druids will be using spears, so wouldn't that free them up for other classes? Similarly with hunters losing 2H axes (as well as all melee weapons), how about some 2h enhance shaman love? Unless monks are getting polearms/axes, I haven't really looked into it.
