Ok, have some steps to try.

Test by typing the following in console and hitting return:

defaults write com.blizzard.starcraft2 disable-expose-fix -bool YES

Then test in the game. Let us know if it does anything.

As an added update, you can reset it to default if the above does not do anything with the following command in Console:

defaults delete com.blizzard.worldofwarcraft disable-expose-fix

This did nothing to fix the Shift modifier bug (which, ironically, I never had 'til my Naga crapped out and I replaced it with a Naga Epic).

However, I get an error with the follow up command:

There is no (disable-expose-fix) default for the (com.blizzard.worldofwarcraft) domain.
Defaults have not been changed.

That was my fault, change it to show world of warcraft instead of starcraft II.

defaults write com.blizzard.worldofwarcraft disable-expose-fix -bool YES

to disable:

defaults delete com.blizzard.worldofwarcraft disable-expose-fix

Still no effect for me, but I appreciate the effort. =)

Thankfully, Vamptessa's fix does the trick - those of you also having trouble may want to check it out.

All you have to do is make sure this little app is running alongside WoW and it allows you to use modifier keys.

We will still do what we can to see about a supported fix.

This allows me to use single modifiers, but I sam still unable to use two modifier keys at the same time. I have 1-2-3 as shift-alt-ctrl so that if i press both 1 and 2 I can use a macro with [mod:shift, mod:alt] but wow does not seem to recognize both at once. The macro works as intended when using two modifiers on my keyboard, however this is not really a practical solution as it's hard to press two mods and a key at once.

Do you know where this application came from and how I could potentially get in touch with the creator to tell them about this issue?

The creator is Vamptessa , a fellow wow player.

AFAIK Through the forums would be your only way of tracking them down.

Teebs:

Here's the original thread where Vamptessa introduced his fix. Good luck!

I packed up my MBP and headed to my parents for the weekend. When I got here, my Naga Epic no longer functioned. It would move the cursor around, but none of the buttons worked at all.

I decided to try updating the firmware since my parents have a Vista box here. There is both an update for the dock and the mouse itself and after I applied the new firmware, not only did my mouse work again, but the modifier bug was fixed as well! I no longer need Vamptessa's fix running in the background.

If you have access to either a Windows machine or a BootCamp install, I highly recommend upgrading your Naga's firmware. It might be what you need.

KlintP: I never "uninstalled" the terminal fix you suggested, so it may indeed have worked in conjunction with the Naga Epic firmware 1.03.

Thanks Sednaä, I'll use my roommates PC to install the firmware as soon as he finishes playing sc and see if that works.

I'm not sure what's wrong - I'm on 10.7.2, with the Razor Naga, with 4.2.2 and am having no problems.

Wolfieone do you use the modifiers bound to your mouse? For instance I have 1-2-3 on the naga as shift alt and ctrl respectively.

I have a macro:

/use [@mouseover,mod:shift,mod:alt] spell

which will cast on my mouseover if i press shift and alt on my keyboard simultaneously, but will not work if I press shift and alt on my mouse simultaneously. can you recreate this successfully on your machine/setup? (make sure not to target this unit or you may get the cast off without using the mouseover functionality)

I'm having the same issue.

I wanted to be able to have the 1,2,3 buttons on the side of my Naga for shift, opt, control. I use a Nostromo on the left, and not a keyboard.

Also, I noticed with the Death Adder that you can have shift, opt, on the mouse but then if they're compressed while moving my character...he doesn't stop running in that direction.

Alright, I have a few things to report back on.

I installed the razer naga firmware update (only available for windows OS currently). The mouse's on board memory allows the firmware update to function after removing it from the windows machine.

This will fix the modifier problem reported by many users; after updating the firmware I was able to use single modifier keys on my mouse without the extra program (wow keyboard fix) mentioned above (which also worked).

This firmware update does not fix the multiple modifier problem (the one I was explaining above, i.e. using shift and alt simultaneously one the mouse). However this problem does not occur in windows; my current solution is to run wow in bootcamp and use the mouse on the windows OS while a fix is being developed.

If anyone has any questions about how to do this try looking around google or feel free to ask and I can help you through it.
