Not sure if this is the place to post or not, but you can use the old skipping queue method as a dps by queuing with a tank and the tank leaving instantly. It doesn't remove the dps person like it does on normal queuing. Something to look in to!

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function.
We certainly don’t want players skipping queues and getting an unfair advantage over players that are waiting patiently. Ultimately, the Dungeon Finder rule system is much more “intelligent” than you might think: players who abuse the system may find that they are removed when their tank compatriot leaves, regardless of how long they were already in the dungeon. |

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. Just curious, since this happened to me recently- Why does the RDF boot me from a group when my friend the tank leaves, when I queue as a healer to help him get boots from, let's say SFK, but I want to finish the run for JP/VP? |
Because, if I recall correctly, the rule is that if you are grouped with one someone and you queue up together and any one person of your original party leaves, all the members will be removed too. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. I think the OP is saying that when you use the RealID system to queue cross-server it's not doing this. This thread should probably be in the bug forums tbh. |
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. You're ideas for "abuse" are terrible. There are a lot more terrible players than you may think in the LFD tool and some of them need to be removed for the sake of the group. Ill give an example: There was a ZG i was doing on my shaman a few weeks ago where the tank just kept spouting racial slurs, none of us could kick him yet ALL of us wanted him out. How is this fair? Abuse is a bs response because of this. This happens fairly often, even voting to kick or leaving at most once a week leaves me with a 2 hour kick window and being removed if the tank leaves EVEN IF I WAS IN FOR THE ENTIRE DUNGEON AND WE ARE ON THE LAST BOSS. |

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. I mainly queue with guildies myself, and I was in the RDF yesterday went to kick some ass for yelling slurs and other things and I couldn't as I had a 4 hour kick timer... I've only Vote kicked someone myself maybe twice in the last MONTH, how exactly do I get a 4 hour timer? |
Because blizzard doesnt want to offend the terrible players by letting the other players decide if they can be in their group. |

Queuing with a tank with intent that the tank leaves seems like a terrible way to avoid waits anyway. You'll just end up having to wait for a replacement tank, which could end up being just as long. :B
Why not just run the dungeon with your pocket tank all the way, anyway? |

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. You are planning on vote kicking a tank with whom you queued? (that being the only situation in which you are removed when the tank leaves) |
uhh, no, learn to read the tank had to leave because he had some guests over and i got removed |
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. That seems terribly unfair and not what was originally announced. A tank who leaves after an hour or more was obviously not selling a queue or trying to help someone cheat the system. Sometimes emergencies happen, or someone's power goes out, or the group takes much longer than average to finish because someone went AFK for a long time and couldn't be kicked. It's ridiculous to punish people for this. |

Not to mention that terrible players and new/inexperienced players are treated pretty much the same way by many. I'd be fine with offending terrible-and-never-getting-better players. Not so much with new players trying to get on their feet. Clearly, there's never going to be a way to distinguish between the two but that doesn't make it right to engage in abusive behavior. |
I have absolutely NO problem with people who actually TRY and get better, or fix their mistakes if we wipe. Its the others that dont do anything to help their case that piss me off. |

This really seems just silly to me. As someone said previously, if the tank or group member had been in there for a while, why punish their friends if they become too frustrated with the instance or have a real life commitment come up? This, like the satchel of exotic mysteries, seems to be another attempt to force players to solo queue. Making people solo queue will not make it more enjoyable to play with people who are rude, terrible, or both, and making it harder to kick people does not help this either.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. It’s not a bug, though, and Real ID Party doesn’t change the way this system is intended to function. If the Real ID party system allows people to skip queues (which it apparently does according to the OP), and you don't want the Real ID system to change the way the system functions, then how is it "not a bug" that the Real ID system allows people to skip queues? |

Maybe if there was some way to get kicks to go through without increasing the time you had to wait before your next one?
Say the vote goes 4/4 your way the time doesn't get added, since the player in question was either impeding progress to the point of failure to complete a dungeon or they were just that rude or obnoxious. Obviously there's still room for abuse for the votekick.. but it would be nice to not have to wait 4 hours after kicking one person every month... |
