A way to use F1-F12 as skill keys?

Hello everyone,

First off, I'd like to state I don't know where I should have posted this. Sorry if it's the wrong section.

I'd like to know if you can sue the F1-F12 (Function?) Keys as how we can use the '1' through to '=' keys.

If there IS a way, and you KNOW how, Please post it! I'd be very grateful.

Thankyou!

You should be able to bind them to whatever you want using the keybinding menu. I'm almost sure they've never removed the ability to rebind them.

just know that some modifier keys and Function keys have functions associated with them through your operating system. Like Alt + F4 in Windows closes the active window

@Yikita, Ohkay I'll search through the menu.

@Xubera, I know that haha :D First person to press Alt+f4 gets 1000g.
But I'm only looking to use them as one key, Not combinations ike ALT+F4.

well i used that one because its common, i think Ctrl + F12 does something to that would be undesirable in a combat situation.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. :3

I tried using the key binding menu, at the moment F1-F3 change my presence. (Blood, Frost, Unholy etcetc) Not sure how to get them off that skill though.

It's very possible, as I've run that way for far longer then I can remember.

I bound my "F" keys to the action bar directly above the default 1 to = bar. In interface, click on Bottom Left Bar (and any other ones you want on), then hit okay. Next go into key bindings and down to MultiActionBar Bindings. BottomLeft Action Button 1 through = are the ones above the default bar. Click one hit F1, It will ask you to forget what it's currently bound to, say yes. If desired you can also click it to not prompt you with the OK after each time. Just go down the list and do F1 - F12. Once finished, hit OKAY NOT Cancel or guess who gets to do it all over again.

I'd also reccomend being a touch smarter then I was the first time I bound these keys. I placed my shamans riptide onto F4 and I always used ALT to self-cast. Don't do it.

Bind them to something else. There can only be one (pun intended) action per key binding. You can have as many key bindings as you want per action, but that's immaterial.
