World of Warcraft™

So I had just recently started playing here due to a friend of mine playing on this realm for my Alliance characters. I've leveled a few characters up and the population on this realm is completely abysmal, how anyone can go on without the world feeling desolate I'll never understand. Mind you I play on Illidan, so I'm used to crowds of other players around, not that I think it should be on that level but possibly just a tad more? It's relative to playing a single player MMO here. Maybe merge with another low populated realm to help boost up the community?

Well not so much as a choice but a suggestion, not that I have confidence it will do much good, but here's to hoping.

Honestly, i came to Anetheron FOR the low population. I love it here, used to play on Stormrage/Korgath/Mal'ganis myself so i know how you feel with the large population. Definitely a big change, but i kind of loved it the first day...seeing Stormwind pretty desolate, enough to where you can see where you're actually walking. Not 500,000,000,000 mounts roaming around, etc. Sure it takes away from a large choice and pool of players to raid with, or do arenas with... but it's worth it lol. I love the desolation, i'd just give it a longer shot and a different viewpoint, see if it helps.

I came here from Stormrage (Alliance) just to get away from a server being so crowded. It is nice being able to farm when ever I want to, and not having to deal with 100 people thinking they know everything about their toon. But I do miss seeing pugs clearing the content just as fast as guilds are.

Hehe yeah, stormrage is definitely an alliance server still..through and through. Cool to see so many people from there though, transferring for pretty much the same reasons..makes Anetheron a good place :)

When I left it was 10 or 12 -1 alliance, But the number 2 guild on that server is going casual, and some have mentioned to me about going horde. I do miss those instant ques for bgs though.

Whenever the big guilds decided to do progression there was a 3 hour server queue, not to mention the deadly FPS in Dalaran during wrath and the stock ticker of trade chat. I really like it here. I know what's going on and it's MUCH easier to scope out worthwhile players.

Well, let's be fair here you ARE playing horde.

I like Anetheron the way it is (to the point that I wrote a parody song about it in another thread).

The smaller server population is more friendly to my older computer hardware, and more like a small community: players know who the good players are, the decent ones, the bad ones, the good playing but bad attitude players, and it is generally not forgotten. Either you fit in here or you don't.
