Yea I'm sure alliance does this as well but I dont know since I am alliance.
But killing a rare spawn as a hunter is taming is a no no. That is just down right bad, even other horde hunters would hate you. Plus you hurt your own hunters by keeping another pet farmer there. Seconds...stealing the whale shark. I mean how can you be that big of a jerk to pull the whale shark and ruin it for a guild? Now none of this happened to me, just stories that are being told right now in fireland dailies, but can we act a tad mature about stuff like this? I dont care if you world pvp and farm a body. But lets not kill something like a rare spawn from another player. Nor ruin an achievement for others. |

Lol gtfo, those pets were added to the game in 4.2 to be "hunter challenges" and it's hilarious watching all the huntards die over and over trying to tame them because they haven't spent 2 minutes looking up the strat. They don't deserve pets like Skarr and the gem crab so I make it more challenging and taunt while they try to tame, it's part of the whole "challenge". I had horde do it to me while taming Skarr and screwed over my tame with a belf hunter eventually taking the tame, it's part of the game. Sure I got pissed but then I went out with a guildie and screwed around while four horde hunters tried taming Skarr, just having a bit of fun and yes we killed the kitty in the end and lol'ed. Eventually I got both pets, no biggie.
Had Blizzard wanted the rares to be tameable by hunters with no interference from other classes they would have made them untargetable by any class other than hunters, sorta like back in the day with the hunter epic quest chain npcs when they would only attack hunters. |

I'm not throwing a fit. I even said I was not part of this guild who tried to down the shark tank or was I the hunter. And all in all idc. But I dont see why players would go out of their way to make the game less fun for others. |

I agree with you on all this, but this past does absolutely zero good and only serves as a forum for people to now rag on you.
This is common sense stuff, people already know this. These people do it specifically to be a jerk. No one is coming across some Hunter trying to tame a pet and thinking, "WoW, look at that heart about it's head, he needs help killing it!", well maybe in a starter zone, but otherwise it's someone wanting to cause grief. Certainly no one is pulling a whale shark thinking they're helping at all. I get your frustration, but like I said, these threads do zero except cause more jerks to come out out of the woodwork, and possibly give new ideas to some trolls who haven't previously been doing this. |

i don't see why players would go out of their way to make a forum post about stuff they don't care about like killadelphia noted, it's fun to gank other things, like rare pets and make it harder for someone to tame ...i don't believe in this non-competitive, namby pamby it's ok to be second place cuz everyone's a winner type of gameplay and that's why i have no reason killing rare pets after i get mine tamed, makes mine MOAR RARE ...does that make me a jerk? ask me if i care what peon wow player thinks killadelphia hai, who's your main so i know who you are, tell me nao plz |
