Addon to tell if an item is useful?

Is there such an addon that will tell me if the highlighted item is needed for a profession or an achievement, etc? It would help keep our bank free of clutter.

I think i used to have something like it but I don't remember what it was. Any help would be appreciated.

There's an addon called "Informant". I'm not sure if it's bundled with "Auctioneer" or if it is available seperately, but that sounds like what you're looking for.

It's both of those. You can get Auctioneer from Curse or a stand-alone Informant from the Auctioneer website.

Informant won't tell you about achievements, but Overachiever will add achievement info to the tooltip.

Thank you. I was thinking it might be linked to Auctioneer since that was one of the few addons I used to have but no longer do.

Cheers.

Additionally, you might try out Enchantrix (it's part of the Auctioneer suite). It will tell you what each herb mills into and percentages, what gear disenchants into what enchanting mat, and what ore prospects into what gems.

I have an addon called GuildAds that tells me which recipe an item is used for when I mouse over it.... works for all my toons, but don't know if it would work for say, a guild master who needed to know whether items in the guild bank were useful to the guild as a whole.

Since the last patch, I'm having trouble with it, though, and I have to turn it on and off for some reason. Normally, after a patch, it automatically scans recipes for all the professions' into your cache or whatever, and then it used to just work. But now, it won't scan automatically. That's a shame, because it did what I needed it to do perfectly before. ;-[

I just found that TradeSkillInfo does this! If you type "/tsi" into the chat window, the TradeSkillInfo window will come up. You can type anything into the search window, and it'll tell you what it's used for.

Hope that helps.
