Any word on being able to Mog BoAs?

That's still under discussion at the moment. Right now, Legendary weapons and Heirlooms probably won't be eligible, while some Bind on Account items probably will be eligible. It's not set in stone yet though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo

:( <----- this is my face right now. We wear heirlooms for 80 levels and sometimes across multiple alts it'd be nice to change it up even if its not t sets. I could care less if I could only do it with dungeon/green/normal pieces just some kind of change plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :(

Well, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but...

We have an obligation to players and to our hard working artists to keep the game from looking too silly. I know looking ridiculous is fun for some players, but World of Warcraft was established with a design that the game overall kept its silliness in check. That’s one of the reasons we resisted adding a feature like Transmogrification for so long.

So weapons that look like fish, for example, probably won't be available as source items for Transmogrification, even if one is technically a dagger and has stats. There are a handful other weapons with "silly" models (such as frying pans, brooms, etc.) that may or may not be allowed -- it's still under discussion.

darn! I was going to go back to the deadmines and scoop up some rolling pins :(

That actual model was changed a while back, wasn't it? or was that only the heroic one?

I HAVE NOTHING!

NOOOOOOOOOOTTTTHHHHIIIIIIINNNNGGGG! D:

I also have nothing. I vendored t9 and t10 (yuck) right when they were obsolete for me. It's too bad legendary weapons can't be used, as those who have them would probably love to show them off again.

I'd like to get t6 and t7, personally.

I'm not one to make myself look silly but come one... engineering in general, gnomes, and goblins all are a little too "silly" if you ask me. I think people should be able to use fish skinned weapons etc...

As a DK, I was going to go with...

Cursed Vision of Sargeras
Illidari Shoulderpads
Robe of Hateful Echoes
Cord of Screaming Terrors
Elementium Deathplate Gauntlets
DW Tempest of Chaos
and whatever boots I could find, but with the restrictions all hope is lost.

Only the heroic. The normal one is still a rolling pin.

I'm curious as to how long it will take people to get sick of the old tier sets they claim they'll wear forever and start making their own outfits.

Then you should probably have your designers design more intermixing type sets and items because there has not been a time in my wow career since vanilla where I didn't look like a completely ridiculous crazy person until I was max level (green pants, pink armor, grey gloves....)

Now you could argue that my opinion is subjective of course (just as saying a frying pan is ridiculous or even charging into combat wearing a pink tutu can be subjective)

In the end you will probably need to have it encapsulate the whole gamut of items rather than punishing someone for having fun...and in the end fun is what this game is about right?

My priest has so many sets I will have a really hard time choosing which one to use. I have the choicest pieces of the Avatar set, the merciless gladiator set, I have a whitemane-esque scarlet crusade set, full transcendence, prophecy, and a cute purple set that I collected when I did loremaster for azeroth, and various other items like the Robes of the Guardian Saint from AQ20. Whatever set I choose I'll be using my Benediction with it :)

My paladin, of course, will be in full judgement. I painstakingly collected that entire set just in case they ever put in the appearance tab. All I need to find is a cool looking shield, but I think the vanilla pvp shield will suffice, especially since I'm horde and it's all red and matches perfectly.

My hunter has the full giantstalker set =D I haven't been so excited about a patch since I can't even remember.

With Transmogrification coming up in 4.3, does anyone have sets already stashed? If not, does anyone have any idea what 'suit' they want to put together? C'mon, I want ideas and pretty pictures!

Anybody, anybody? Beuller? Let's have fun with this!

Yup, I have always been an old set collector. I have my regular bank full (With all bag slots using 20 slots) of old gear.

The price of storage in the Void storage is absolutely ridiculous (Paying 1000g for the privilege of spending 8000 more, and even more if you withdraw and replace any of those items in there) so I plan on just keeping my old bank as storage.

I'm thinking of using Crystalforge for this Paladin.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but only one of those armor pieces are plate. If you want it to have the stats of DK gear, you're going to have to use plate pieces as the model.

Like Elementium Deathplate Shoulderguards would not be able to use the graphics of Cursed Vision of Sargeras because one is plate and the other is leather.

No!! Legendary weapons are a PAIN to get. And stuff like Thunderfury are useless past level 60, let us show off our hard work!

To play the devil's advocate Daxxarri, a counter argument would be that World of Warcraft already features a rich catalog of silly visuals/themes/events.

    - Quests that are silly: be them giant rolling balls of fire, lovable lumps we have to escort, or baby bears we need to save from trees.
    - Gnome/Goblin culture are humorous in nature.
    - The many, many memes and references scattered across Azeroth. Unique characters free of these are feeling more endangered.

Even in >active combat< game play.
Magic Rooster Egg,Horde Balloon,Baby Spice, Savory Deviate Delight

These are featured by players in Screenshots/Videos/Activities all the time. Not to mention their guild, team, player names.

Perhaps the community should embrace the silliness. Afterall, humor compliments thrilling moments by cutting the tension so it can build up again!~

My Rogue will be using a T9 set and some cool goggles.

I hope so. I usually like the paladin PVP sets, it'd be nice as ret to at least be able to make the boots and belt match.

Syphon of the Nathrezim
Brutal Gladiator's Pummeler
Blackhorn Bludgeon

These are just some red ones I can think of offhand, albeit the Brutal one's probably the easiest to get >.>

I TOTALLY have to get the original Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood on my Female Human Warrior now, just for the sheer hugeness of it.
